Had wf said he gave a character with a justification, I would have hard town read him because claiming himmel out the gate early is balls of steel if you are doing a fake claim

Maybe its really simple as thoth Anna and they got bad rng lol

Looking at Banana’s entrance with fresh eyes, it feels similar to Magoroth’s entrance. If we think there’s scum outside of Magoroth/Banana, then one of them is town and just not asking good questions. At which point both can be. Not saying they’re townlocked but I am saying I don’t feel the scum case on either is strong, based on the entrances.

I haven’t read Banana’s latest posts yet.

So Banana has an OMGUS of Mikal; she doesn’t think his reasons are good.

Not really a fan of it but she did push Pie for the same reason last game.

asking for someone to explain something is analysis? how? i want them to explain a stance so i can learn whether to think there is honst motive behind it

i dont think its omgus, im not voting him simply for suspecting me, im voting him because he was harpin on me for "posting just to post" which is what he is doin. his posts were kind of trolly or non impactful ya know. so if he values engagement why wasn't he engaging himself? but his recent posts do seem more insightful so maybe ill pull back from him, just want to see where he goes with the thoth thing first

Thoth claim is a much bigger issue than anything. I want his justification

Posting pure irrelevant or non game related stuff is an entirely different thing

One is done with the intention to appear town. The other is done for no reason at all. Granted sometimes that can be a way for scum to coast as well

Or as wf noted. Both a character and fake role claim were given but are not tied together. Meaing if this it the fake claim. More experienced veterans would role over dead before we allowed a scum thoth to claim this unless he just did it yolo

Again all assuming he were to flip scum. A scum thoth with that claim is likely not paired with certain people

my posts are how i normally post. i usually will provide reads later on as i get them, but right now im just trying to get anything i can from people so i can start forming them. i dont think im posting just to post imo.

i dont know about the theme but you seem to know a bit so unless someone contradcts u ill wait to see how thoth responds to this, but yeah im a lil sus if hes a big character and only is vanilla too. interesting

This is one of my favorite animes lol. Its amazing

Its not that himel is 'big" He actually dies in the show but his character is a warrior/soldier. Hes kinda portrayed as a paladin , group leader etc. The main group goes on an adventure to kill the demon king. Show takes place after that. Main character frieren is an elf and doesn't age. She goes back to visit her adventuring party like 50 years after they killed the demon king. Himel is old and dying [in love with her]. He died of old age

She has major regrets that she doesn't perceive time the same as others and goes back on a journey to retrace her steps with a new party as a way to honor himel

Issue isn't how big himel is per say. Its how pivotal he is to the plot and the fact his class and role in game is a warrior archetype. Vanilla makes no sense and there is only one world where wf does that

So I took a quick look at Himmel the Hero on the fandom wiki page. He died in Episode 1, but there’s many flashbacks of him in almost all the episodes after. It seems the most notable thing about him is not some power or trait he has, but how he impacts the actions of the main living cast, especially Frieren.

So there’s a case to be made for him(mel) being PR and a case to be made for him being vanilla.

The lack of a justification from Thoth is pretty bad, given that Whiteflame did not give a justification for the fake claim.

In addendum, being vanilla doesn’t really match up with such an early soft. Normally, a townie who is a strong PR does that, trying to avoid a full claim.

The soft did feel a bit hasty as well, so this feels like mafia softing to buy time to find a claim, more than a townie who wants to hide his cards from the mafia team.

My vote stays; I want to hear Thoth’s defense of his actions.

Mikal’s more recent posts seems like a townier approach to me, has me feeling a little better about him

In a nine player game, if you are host and planning on putting in one or two vanillas, how do you do it? Do you put in some

minor as fuck character or do you make a slightly more important character vanilla? I’m assuming this is a big theme with lots of characters. For example in my Ted Lasso game both Keeley Jones and Rebecca Welton were vanillas, but were arguable some of the biggest characters in the show. Whiteflame was Keeley and he praised me for making a justification that made sense for vanillas in that game since so many hosts have crap ones. I think we definitely need to hear Thoths justification before jumping to any conclusions, but I’m very likely to buy a vanilla claim at this stage in a Whiteflame game based on his comments to me in Ted Lasso.

Potential world where you could have crafted that for him. But yes. That is the only world where himel wouod be vanilla. Its way more unlikely.
