I actually did not even ask if Tailor could do alignments. I just assumed it to be the case and first asked if a tailor needed to use a night action to tailor or if they could do it in the day phase. Got told they will not answer questions about hypothetic roles. I mentioned it was in the intro and he said its known one rule is a lie so I stopped there.

Then I concluded that if Tailor could do the action that was not the lie so the Flavor split is the most likely lie.

Btw- we should like, make or use a role list or something. This whole closed setups with people constantly banging their heads against the wall not even knowing what the fuck the name of a role means or does is not great.

Well, sense chats not moving much I will unpack my tailor reasoning. I will break it down into 2 pieces. The role flip and if Kohai could be town.

Kohai-

For starters I truly do not see how Kohai could be town. I flatly do not believe it. Lets unpack their behavior

The slip-

Initially they say scum got to choose from 3 options for the fake mechanic

I call this out as a hard scum slip. Pie and someone else verify they had followed up and asked the host and were not given any info on an amount of things to pick from.

They react saying it was an RT; but at the same time they crash out hard and emotionally loosing their shit. This I immediately called bullshit on because if it was a reaction test their trap snapped shut and they should be happy that their plan succeeded and move onto the next part.

They later claim it was actually a lie. Well yeah, I figured that out immediately given their reaction to being called out. I figure they did not have a choice but to reveal that.

Then they say it was a hallucination. Im unsure what that's suppose to mean but they had claimed VT and this is the third time their story changes.

The Role-

This looks like it was custom written to address the concerns voiced during D1.

"if I don’t feel you are making an effort to act drunk you will die (not as a modkill but as a game mechanic)"

Really? This feels super targeted to the entire huge deal we were talking about over and over of if it was too vague of a request to the point its a little bit bastard followed by the questions of "Would Luna do a modkill right after how they felt about the modkills last game?

Then the wording of it just feels different than my card.

Then there was the evolution of the drunk stuff where at the end they were saying that they only needed to say a few words with what I find really suspicious. (Again their post 703 on D1)

Two be kleae Luna did state thattt it really only had to be une or two words. Ive beeen a bit tooo deeeo into my karacter.

But wait.. The role flip we see flatly says "You are basically a vanilla, but must post like a drunk, using slurred language or gibberish in all of your posts."

Sooo.. What was there to interpret? Also that bit makes the role seem even more unreasonable and unfun. I could get a requirement to act a bit drunk but in literally every single post? Thats a holy shit level of fucked up. Would Lunatic even do something like that to a player?

We can dig into tailor or not but I am really struggling to see how Kohai could possibly have been town to the point I think its much more likely they were simply tailored.

I think it derails the entire town. Making the first wolf flip look like a town is an excellent play imo.

I get that I could just be super tunneling but I very truly can not believe that Kohai was town and pulled all that.

What makes me highly suspicious of all this tailor talk from multiple people is that you'd have to prove:

1. There is value in wolves making a play like that. E.g, Wolves would want him to flip town because he would spew his partners if he flipped red. But nobody is actively checking for wolf!kohai spew because I'm not sure anybody believes it's true.

2. That nobody is using the threat of tailor mechanics to justify the kohai lynch. This can be NAI yeah but it's not like mislynching D1 is impossible or even unlikely. Most town players just say "woops, sorry you got a shit role and played a bit scummy bro". Wolves on the other hand could just use it as a smokescreen.

From a purely mechanical perspective, I don't think wolves justify a tailor play like that here assuming they have functional brains. The role would have too much value the later the game goes and I would assume it has limited uses.

You are speaking like I have not voiced Kohai's meta and referenced their reads and voiced concerns about Wylted based on the spew. Duno what you are on about there.

I agree you could question the benefits. I do feel like its a decent play to break town spew and keep town in a second D1 effectively. One of the very few things we have to consider if you do disbelieve the tailor potential is if Ultra was a TvT or WvT counter wagon. One of my problems pushing it is that I can not figure out if they are avoiding giving thoughts or just kinda lazy as a player (no offence)

Pie is doing his usual Pie thing. Flipping from person to person and fiending for claims like a crack head but they do that as town. I have not seen their scum game.

I will also say though- What possible benefit would there be to a wolf going wayyy against the norm pushing that there is a tailor potential? I feel I presented some pretty sound logic and I really just do not believe that if they were town they would have played like that. Unless someone just wants to explain thats how they can be I am pretty stuck on it and find the potential of a tailor more likely than the potential of them doing all that as town.
