I didn't call it scummy, you based your reasoning on me having to claim being that you think I am a 50-50 between BP and redirector. What I mean by me telling you I am not a scum redirector is that if I was a redirector, why can't I be a town redirector? Im not confirming I am any sort of redirector, just specifically saying even if I was a redirector, I am not aligned with scum.

Re-read what I said, and it makes sense.

Saying I was concerned about the existence of a Redirector in the game doesn't mean that was an automatic scumread on the role, but sure, it would stand out a lot more than the BP. You're getting awfully defensive about the reasoning behind one line of text where you said the words "scum redirector" without any prompting.

I can say the list of characters I submitted IG, but telling you my character would give away my role.

You're going to have to claim it eventually, but we can discuss whether that's necessary if your character is so thoroughly tied to your role.

Because one of those roles, as you so helpfully highlighted, is a role we should be wary of as a plausible scum role. If your role indicates your alignment at all, that would be a big help with scumhunting this DP.

Anyways we aren't getting anywhere with that argument. I am not against claiming if that is what people actually want, I just don't see how it helps anything progress and would at least like a behavioral reason to suggest I claim. Not just raw insistance that 1 of the 3 roles I could be is potentially a scum role, especially when we have seen that role used both ways many times. If it said "Ninja, godfather, or strongman" I would get that a little more.

I'm Midge Maisel from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I'm also a role I've never seen before, the Comedian. The way the role works is that I target someone and receive a "joke," which consists of a list of 3 roles, one of which is their actual role. I targeted Luna last night. The three roles I received were:

Redirector

Delayed (NP2) Vigilante

1X Bulletproof

Considering one of those (the Vigilante) was Mikal's flip, that makes Luna's role a 50-50 between Redirector and BP. I don't like those odds.

What role justification did Kohai give you?

His role had a passive redirection passive based on a percentage, I wouldn't exactly call that a redirector.

It's not "there are two roles that almost completely overlap" whack, though. We have a Vig and we have a Nexus with a 10% chance to kill. Never seen an unlimited Vig before (I think), but the two flipped roles are at least discrete. There's a little bit of lethality overlap, but with the Vig at a delayed start and the very slim chance of the Paranoid actually catching scum, I can buy it. A Redirector and a Nexus, though... Basically either you're Bulletproof, you're scum, or I'm appalled.

Why would kohai include a role in that list if it can’t be used twice?
