the whole point of me claiming being roleblocked was to play mind games with scum. No player with a good power role claims when they’re roleblocked. They don’t reveal it, like they’re pretending they have a passive role.

By claiming a roleblock, I signaled to the mafia team that I didn’t have a role worth killing me over.

Which improved my odds of staying alive for this DP so I could get a result.

I did revist him later. And in that anaylsis I found a way he could still be the OG scum. #685

@Pie let's start with this post. First, there's a small chance that you are OG scum and just tried to gamble a watcher claim. Although it is unlikely bc your DP1 behavior does match watcher. Unless you picked up what I was putting down last DP and are playing to that as scum by claiming watcher.

And this is what happened exactly. I thought that Pie couldn't have been OG scum in #505, then opened my mind and found a way in #685.

And then analyzed from there.

I will say magics claim, if fake, sounds nothing like what I would expect magic to fake claim. Its just so odd and out there. And it makes a lot of sense with his character claim. Kind of fits the theme of other characters thats been claimed so far with wierd never before seen roles.

The only thing magic has going against him is the fact that he supported pie a bit in dp2. But we would have to buy him and magic as scum decided to buddy instead of distance. It's possible, since pie and kohai buddied on dp1. Pie never really focused on pushing magic for a lynch or seemed to consider that, but he also didn't every really suspect anyone besides mago.

I think lunatic is down to vote you or magic and as I read back we have this stuff. Pie also has a weakness as scum where he tries to avoid communicating with his scum mates in the day chat and he is failing to interact with magic who was posting a lot in DP2

I think it’s foolhardy to clear me because I wouldn’t be recruited. I honestly agree that I would never recruit myself, but 1) I am not scum and have my own perspective here, which isn’t the same as a scum perspective, 2) they have to play mind games with this Yakuza crap, and 3) I have two people saying I can’t be scum because I wouldn’t be recruited. Assume I’m scum for a second, this means the other two people are Town and will (probably) never vote me. With a mislynch on Luna I would basically be guaranteed to win, so the gambit on Pie’s end would've worked wonders.

I might be tempted to slap a vote on Mikal for this.

I have other thoughts. I do kind of like Mag1c’s post and analysis, and I like the idea that he’’s trying to narrow down teams and saying which teams are unlikely and which are probable (he’s been doing this since D2). On the other hand, his claim isn’t a direct CC to Mikal and if he’s scum he could easily argue “shitz my bad guys guess I was wrong about who it was on NP2”.

I know dude, I don't suspect you over it or anything, at the end of the day the WIFOM being used is pretty inconsistent. Mikal says I bus for the funsies, so I must be scum. Wylted says you were defending pie after scum reading him dp1, so your buddying and must be scum. The logic about it is all equally WIFOMy, but I do credit that it seemed like you were being open minded about your reads. I actually think it kind of looks better reading back your interactions with pie, especially after seeing how you distanced with me as scum in the last game. You tend to be a lot more analytical as town, and your exchange with pie overall looks a bit more like your town meta.

I am trying to be open minded here, so slightly playing devils advocate by entertaining the point that you defended pie, but ultimately, I am not really seeing you as scum as of this moment.

Right I just don't know how you could be that confident about your WIFOM that he would be deadset that pie would never have recruited you or wylted. I think of pie as pretty devious actually. Him going for obvious targets doesn't fit his MO, I think he'd target suspected power roles, or people he thinks wouldnt get lynched. People like me are too obvious a recruit target to make sense. Mikal dismissing it out of hand though is just odd.
