Welcome to Deltarune Mafia! As is usual, day phases will last 72 hours or until a majority vote is reached. Night phases will last up to 24 hours. If everyone submits their night action early, I may start the next phase early. (I will allow a grace period of at least one hour for players to change their minds.) This DP will end on Tuesday the 19th at 8:30 PM EDT (UTC -04:00).
Rules:
- No copy-pasting any mod communications, including but not limited to role PMs, or pretending to do so. Paraphrase instead.
- No use of generative AI to paraphrase your role PM for you.
- Avoid discussion of minutiae in role PMs, such as whether one wins 'with Town' or 'with the Town'.
- No editing or deleting posts.
- No conversing about the game outside of the DP threads or any approved chats.
- No liking posts after dying.
- No ciphers or cryptography.
- I reserve the right to add in additional rules as necessary to keep the game fair.
Additional Information:
- This game is based off of the first two chapters of Deltarune. All characters in this game are characters that appear within the first two chapters of Deltarune.
- There may or may not be mechanics in play which punish claiming characters and/or roles, so claim at your own risk!
- The town wins when all threats to the town are eliminated. The mafia wins if, at the start or end of any game phase, the number of living mafia players is greater than or equal to the number of living non-mafia players. There may also be one or more third party players in the game, in which case they will have their own unique win conditions and may either joint win with another team or win independently.
- Your role PM may refer to MYLO/LYLO. MYLO is when the number of living town players outnumbers the mafia by only two players; LYLO is when the town outnumbers the mafia by only one. (Third parties are counted with town for the purposes of determining parity and MYLO/LYLO.) Votes are locked in at LYLO, meaning that once a vote is cast on a LYLO day, it cannot be removed or changed to another player, so be careful! I will announce when a day is a MYLO/LYLO day.
- I will not answer questions in-thread, except to give a time check or a vote count. Please direct all other questions to me over PM. Generally speaking, I will not answer questions about roles other than your own. This includes questions about hypothetical roles. Questions about 'flipped roles', on the other hand, are generally okay.
To help prevent angleshooting based on role PM formats, here is a sample role PM (using a character from Chapter 3, since those characters aren't in this game):
You are Tenna! "It's TV Time!" Tenna is the incarnation of the old Dreemurr household TV in the dark world. He serves as host of his own game show, 'TV Time', which the three party members play on. As a sentient TV, Tenna craves attention desperately and loves to be watched, endlessly prolonging the game show so that the lightners will keep playing with him. Because Tenna craves attention so badly, you can keep track of who interacts with you. You are the Gramps. At the end of each night, you will learn who, if anyone, used an action on you, but not what actions were used. You win with the Town.
