I was waffling on my vote because of Magic's arguments on Mikal, and I still might change it if he pops up and his counterarguments seem especially weak. But for now I'mma go with my original gut feeling.

he’s going to say omgus but it’s not. He’s been trying to throw stuff around and see what sticks. Do not like the reaction test and do not like his reasoning for voting me.

makes no sense for to outright claim a major character off the rip and risk a cc unless there were fake claims given and even then doing it unprompted would make less sense as it’s removing an option if I were scum. Scum would save it until pressure and flex it between who needs it.

I usually would chalk his behavior up to trying to move the Dayphase forward as it’s been largely not active but it seems more like flailing and more so the push on me comes off as seeing if he can get a wagon because I’m largely town read.

David target me tonight please. It will confirm your role at a minium as it would read different than a roleblock. Mafia will have to pick between stopping that result which gives town more actions or letting it go through and giving credibility to both our claims.

Magic's main arguments were presented in post #177 and you didn't really address them as far as I can see. You just doubled down on the already acknowledged strengths of your position. My main question is No. 2, why did you decide to hard claim off the bat instead of baiting the NK?

I didn't even see Rex's post until after I made mine voting for him. It still doesn't move the needle for me however, I'm not just going to blindly trust someone that they shouldn't be lynched because reasons.

I'm not pushing for pressure, I'm pushing for a lynch. I do NOT want us to NL today. I've made that mistake before. Starting with a NL at nine players never ends well for the town.

I'll get on the wagon because I don't have much of a read on him either and I agree with whiteflame's sus of him.

Magic's points against Mikal in post #177 are interesting, but not enough for me to vote a plausible town claim. I'm less sold on his analysis in #182.

My second gut read is thoth, keeping in mind his whole tactic of "Look guys made a brilliant claim once, so I am not a noob", he is posting quite a bit like last time, but also kind of not really saying anything majorly impactful. That applies to alot of players here including myself, but combined with the earlier sentiment of wanting people to appreciate his scum play, it almost appears bragadocious in comparison to his behavior. I am not majorly suspicious of him at the moment, just kind of questioning his motives.

It's a fun story I like to share, and I admit that my inability to shut up about that game could seem egomaniacal, but it was the most fun I had in ever and the game will live rent-free in my head until I die. Notwithstanding that the "brilliant" claim opened a needless avenue to being disproven by saying I could see the alignments of who visited me at night, and that I had precedent and inspiration since that game was full of complicated, half-page long roles. If I'm not saying anything impactful, well, how is that the kind of scum play I would want people to appreciate?

I don’t love how he’s pushing attention onto Magic in particular on the basis that he didn’t rile in response to what REF claimed without substatiation was a hard sus on him.

Not my argument. I’ve been saying that I think you straightclaimed your character and left the questions available for a teammate. Hider isn’t a very common role; even if you used a question on hider you’d still leave three whole questions for your teammate.

I’m the player doing the most while scum has a great incentive to just let things play out if they’re not the target of the main lynch wagon.

And seeing if I can get a wagon off on you… as opposed to seeing if I can get a wagon on someone who isn’t so widely townread… yeah, ok.

Why tf would David ever visit a claimed Hider… unless you mean this would confirm your role to him (as opposed to confirming his role?? I don’t see why he would even need that, he’s widely townread), this doesn’t make sense.

This seems like a ploy to get him to waste his action.

Also, I have yet to see a reason to believe we have a hider in a 9-player setup. Or any semblance of you acting within the incentives of your claimed role.

I wanna keep my vote where it is for now. I’ll join you guys on Rex in low time, but I have a much stronger scumread on Mikal and I implore yall to reconsider.

If you force Mikal to target me I may be able to confirm his role. If we both die he was town. If only I die, he will be outed as scum. May be preferable to a lynch this DP, you will at least get some utility out of my role. I really don't want to disclose it because it will lose its utility and would even turn anti-town if scum know about it. But have Mikal target me tonight and at worst you lose your two scummiest town players with potentially shitty roles if scum target me with the NK to get two kills in one.

Still waiting on a reply on Pie as to whether this will work, but from what I understand about our roles it should.

I'm just not conclusive on Mikal rn but I'm willing to consider him next DP. If Rex turns out to be guilty then his defense of Rex here will cast some serious doubt on him.

The promise of a full claim next DP is making me hesitate. Gonna take some time to think this over

Pie confirmed to me that my role works as would be expected.

At this point, I could go either way. If someone else ends up bringing REF to L-1 before the end of the DP (looking at about an hour left), I’ll hammer. I’d prefer a lynch to a NL with 9 players in the game.

I'd also like to point out that visiting me could be... dangerous for other people tonight. Only Mikal should visit me if you decide not to lynch me. There's a good chance I will be dead tomorrow anyway.

Some more soft claim for tomorrow - I am an exceedingly dangerous species of monster/animal.

Are we really going to NL again? I'll switch to Mikal, but if we're going to lynch anyone, we have to do it NOW.

Well, we've got a half an hour left and with only Wryly talking about any shift in their vote, this is either all onboard the REF train we're not lynching anyone. So, I'll join the wagon, tag everyone who hasn't voted for him (hope one of you hammers), and hope that we can at least get a lynch this DP.
