In the only other game I've played, mafia all had offensive/sabotaging powers. Is this not always the case?

I still don't know why whiteflame was offed in particular in NP1, still need Magic to claim, and still don't know what the theme split is.

Casey reads null to me behaviorally. I only FOS her because of the dreamer three, her claim seems the most sus.

Rex's claim seems solid, but a weak roleblocker still seems weird to me -- what use is it? -- and his whole "whiteflame is town confirmed! oh oopsy I didn't see he was already dead..." initially raised a red flag for me.

Magic -- led a false wagon DP1 and now won't claim except some vague hint about "everything and nothing."

The big question is whether Luna is telling the truth. He hinted Morgarath as early as page 1 of DP1, which if fake was a risky play. Was asleep for the flip to a Mikal lynch but questioned Magic's sus of him. Behavior has been pretty townie this DP imo. But dreamer from Morgarath still seems weird to me.

I don't know about this site's meta, but, in the other group I play with, it's common for scum (werewolves) to have defensive abilities, most commonly Tough, which is a one-time protection from any kill, including a lynch. I might be wrong, but I get the sense that lynch protection is unheard of on here.

From what I've seen, whiteflame is considered a strong player, so scum might have wanted him dead just because they were afraid of him.

I would like to claim DP3 if at all possible. I have a very good reason for this.

If I do things correctly, I can win the game for us on the spot DP3.

The circumstance is specific, but the it’s worth holding my cards to my chest here.

It's kind of a ghetto-ass cop. If I target someone and I live, they are town confirmed. If I manage to hit the NKer I can also stop it but will die in the process. If you guys can figure out who I visited on the night that I died, you can find scum.

Btw I am genuinely sorry this game is causing you stress with the amount of work you are piled with, and I hope you can get away and enjoy the concert this weekend without having to stress too much about a game.

Lynch protection is not literally unheard of, but it is very rare. I certainly have never seen it given to scum before.

I actually hadn't considered your action being successful even if you targeted scum. That does make me rethink things slightly. Hmm...

Oof, that sucks. I hate getting sick on a trip I was looking forward to. Well, on any trip really. The least the universe can do is let you be sick in your own toilet.

So if Rex had targeted scum NP1 he'd be dead and we'd have no idea who he targeted or what scum power got blocked. Still seems... suboptimal.

So I was thinking last night. My role is informational. Luna's role is also informational. Rex's role is pseudo-investigative. And Thoth's role is investigative. Are they all really in this game? My guess is probably not.

I know I went pretty hard against Luna earlier, but honestly, his behavior is actually pretty towny. It's making me rethink things, and I wonder if Thoth is just a Mafia Scout or a JOAT with a 1x Scout.

But I'm also starting to question my hard townread on Wryly. It was largely based on me not buying that Mikal could be the only one that could stop the NK - but now I realize that Rex's ability can technically do the same. Does this game really need a Doctor?

So yeah, upon further inspection, I'm way less convinced of my Luna/Rex theory. I know I'm still probably going to be the lynch today, but I'm going to change my vote to align with my gut here.

Looking at her posts in isolation, they don't impress me. Feels like she's just going with the flow of any potential lynch wagon that isn't her.

But that's because I'm pretty confident in my reads on Wryly and Thoth. I simply don't believe that Mikal was the only role that could potentially stop the NK. Wryly pretty much has to be town in my eyes. So for me, it's either Thoth or Luna. I think Thoth is more likely to be town.

I really don’t like the wryly switch here. For one I don’t see that her behavior would have changed negatively since casey posted the above read ^, if anything wryly seems to be asking the questions and playing this smart instead of bandwagoning blindly like many noobs do. I do not get the vibe that wryly is going with the flow at all, and I am genuinely curious what post wryly made in the last page and a half that gave Casey the vibe that she is? Because I am not seeing it.

The vote to me makes more sense form a scum POV, if you already are thinking you could be the lynch and time is getting to the deadline, her push on me has stagnated and you know you need a lynch alternate of herself, the only other person who even has a vote is wryly, so maybe you push that one and hope it gathers steam. Because ultimately even her switching off of me makes little sense, unless she just doesn’t think she can get steam for that wagon.

idk I’m obviously locked in on Casey being scum and hope this isn’t tunnel vision but I would have been way less suspicious if she voted for one her more consistent reads like magic or Rex here, the wryly switch is a bit unexpected and a complete 180 flip from her previous reads.

Part of me also wonders if this is a bus lol, if Casey thinks she’s getting lynched anyway, which she has stated multiple times now that she does, even in the above post, maybe you try to create as much distance with your scum partner as you can as a last ditch effort. It would be in line with my mod psyche theory of pie putting both scum on the dreamer results.

I believe we only have two hours left to make a decision.
