I can buy him taking risks if there's something to gain by it. What is there to gain from placing a scummate in POE? Generating doubt that they're scummates? How could that be worth it. The chances of it hurting outweigh the chances of it helping.

#68, something about a mirror maker that hit WF and bounced back on Rex and Magic both.

If Thoth is telling the truth, then the only role that could've possibly redirected me to myself is a Mirror Maker placed on Whiteflame, at which point Rex should've had his roleblock bounced back at himself, which is something I completely missed last DP (which is why I just realized I didn't need to wait on Thoth). This would easily make him the teammate, and the claim was simply something he pulled out of his ass. I've realized that although Rex is more passive of a player, it doesn't mean he can't try something when he's almost certainly going to be the lynch.

I think it's Rex and Wryly. I hope the discussion has advanced by the time I get back tomorrow.

I'm mildly ashamed to admit it, but I don't understand the Mirror Maker thing.

I've never seen or heard of this role.

They aren't supposed to be able to be visited. The downside to that is if the person they hide behind is killed, they also die. I am guessing mirror maker is the only role he could research to justify your result.

I am definitely a risk taker as scum, but I don't do the same plays. I already did a dreamer fake claim relatively recently, it would be suicide to do it twice. Also virtually the only way its possible for me to be scum at this point is if you think the scum team is exactly me and rex, or me and wryly, because I could have hammered and ended the game in any other scenario.

I did not get any message. Many mods do not give passive roles a roleblock message, and since my dream has been used already, I definitely wouldn't have been told if I was interfered with.

I could possibly be persuaded to change my mind if I understood what in the blue fuck Magic is claiming, particularly the Magic Mirror Maker part. The failure to communicate is probably more on my end than his.

I think its mharm and wryly. A hider shouldn't been seen visiting themselves if you actually tracked him. I've literally never seen this mirror maker role used EVER in any game.

I'm not sure this is applicable to Magic's claim, but a Hider could still be redirected by abilities that don't visit them, e.g., a Bus Driver on the person they hid behind and somebody else.

Okay I thought this was a common role. If it's not it sounds like he's just reaching.

Thoth if you are scum well played. I am inclined to believe you are town, because you weren't on any of the mislynches, and you easily could have been and had excuses for them. Not only were you not on the mislynches, you never once tried to use not being on them for town cred, which is the only reason you as scum wouldn't have been on them. And the fact that mharman didn't try to accuse you of lying about your result, and instead is playing this mirror maker gambit kind of implies you caught him red handed.

I think magic is banking on the bus because hes kind of in a corner here, either we somehow believe his crazy gambit and he gets town cred for being right about wryly, or he gets lynched and he thinks it looks good for wryly that he pushed her. Either way, this is seemingly pretty clear to me that its magic/wryly.

There is a chance rex has manipulated the fvck out of me and is scum, and if he is GG, he deserves to win. Leaving me as a mislynch would have been the easier route if he was scum, so he purposely took the harder route on a gamble that it would work. Also his analysis has been generally good this game, and I find myself agreeing with a lot of his points, so ultimately my gut is telling me rex is town.

Unfortunately I don't see my mind changing here. So if I just lost this game for town, I sincerely apologize.

Right now I am going to vote for mharman though. If hes scum, I probably die tonight anyway, but I think you guys got the POE down tomorrow. If magic is scum last one is thoth or wryly obviously.

I bet you could find an example where every pair of living players, not just the ones on PoE, have done something uncoordinated or antagonistic. After you voted for Rex DP1, he still had two votes to go, and let's not forget that you eagerly swapped to Casey. I can imagine scum doing that for, "definitely not the same team", credit later, although it's not a risk I would be willing to take and Rex supposedly is not known for playing that incautiously. But, yeah, Lunatic might be right that it's you and Magic.

I will be willing to vote Magic once I believe I fully understand his claim. I will need to re-read it a few more times, and maybe a few more times after that. If I fuck up, then I fucked up.

Occasionally he uses unusual roles, but for the most part I think he sticks to roles I've seen him use before at some point or another.
