I felt like I was cooking that game as town despite the Thoth mislynch. My POE was pretty narrowed down and I had suspected you for a while but was kind of not wanting to get into trying to get that lunch done because I know you will fight that shit tooth and nail and that people will believe you because they always fucking do, you are one of the hardest people to lynch on the planet. And I had pieced together Whiteflame was likely scum after wryly claimed. I had a conspiracy theory that there was a scum communicative role because hers sounds so legit. So I wanted Whiteflame to think that I town read him super hard so you guys would keep me alive to try and manipulate me. I thought kohai or Wylted was the last scum, couldn’t wrap my head around the possibility of two scum even though you were continuously making that assumption it took me a while to piece together it was actually only two lol. Anyways yeah the town was bad and inactive but I felt like I could carry them to the endgame if I could convince Whiteflame that he had control over me and not to kill me, at worst thinking I would get roleblocked or something. And I felt it was unfair to Mikal who was also putting in work dp1 and helped town by getting his beloved princess off. The only reason I ended up agreeing to it is because Whiteflame was the homie and scum sided with me as third party in Russian mafia so I felt like I owed him big for that. But yeah definitely would have lost this if I stayed town but I could just safely blame the team at that point. I did all I could do really lol

I think others have largely covered what I planned to address. It's a good time teaming up with Pie (we really were doing a lot of work and bouncing a tremendous amount of ideas off of each other, lot of strong questions, too), and even though I ended up being largely CC'd as scum, it's always good vibing with Luna in our Discord chats. I'm just grateful he came along with us in the end, though I'll just emphasize that he did not think it was fair when I presented the idea initially. He really wanted nothing to do with it, and I would have respected his choice if he decided to just abstain, even under the pressure of losing on his wincon (would've just converted him and killed him during the NP).
Main thing I'm going to emphasize, and I know I've said this before as both town and scum: leaving decisions on lynches to the 11th hour rarely goes well. It ensures that decisions happen under duress and whoever is the loudest voice in the room often can dictate the pace. You want to hope that's town, but scum have incentive to be that voice. Especially with back-to-back DPs, it really shouldn't have come down to the last 30 minutes before the second lynch was hammered. Maybe it still would have ended the same, but I'm pretty sure Pie would've been the lynch if everyone had worked to get on the same page even an hour earlier.

I think that the idea of lynching early depriving town of discussion has been taken too far and now we literally don't lynch until the last second.
So brutal lol. It was such a toss up and tbh if it wasn’t for Wylted’s claim and then the countering of a town confirmed player mechanic, I was literally going to hammer Pie just because I felt he was being too lazy with his lynch targets. But I trusted my balance mechanics over my gut. Lol

Anyway I’m kind of burned out from mafia at the moment so probably going to take a month hiatus. Work is swarming me and to be honest when I go home I really don’t feel like using my brain more so I end up just playing games and making music and mafia doesn’t take much time

Appreciated, it was a frustrating game for me in townville
It was interesting to me how little theme was discussed. One of the reasons I settled on this theme was because at the time I was annoyed by the softclaiming meta. This theme to me seemed pretty impervious to softclaiming for multiple reasons, so I was glad to see that town agreed and was stumped by it. I think this led to theme as a whole falling to the wayside, with many people role claiming before character claiming.
A big part of the point of theme analysis for me is being able to sniff out fake claims. With full fake claims provided, that was all made moot, and since you said there wasn't much point analyzing theme anyway, I kind of just quit thinking about it.

FWIW, I thought you were screaming town, hence I just totally took the pressure off you with my vote on Kohai. I think you made your case well. Even a good and convincing case isn't always going to sway the people it needs to in order to be successful.

You really didn't need to go back and forth with him that much imo, his arguments on you were gaining no traction with anyone else and at a certain point it became repetitive.

I was never worried about him mislynching me, it was more that I wanted him on track and locked in to help us get lynches. He was the most active town player besides me, and he was wasting his vote on me each day phase.
