I think this is a chapter in this site's Mafia history that we would all rather leave behind us, but I might as well post a belated endgame thread. I cancelled this game because nobody seemed to be having fun, and also because the game was looking townsided. I said several times that I thought the setup was balanced, and I stand by that assessment, but a theoretically balanced game can become unbalanced when nobody knows what's going on. There are multiple reasons why this game works better in real life than on a forum, but probably the biggest one is that you can quickly crash and burn through a few games in one session to learn the rules and see how aspects of the game's design that might look stupid or nonsensical at first are part of a complex machine with many moving parts meant to work together.
Scum also got the short end of the stick on night 0, with multiple investigatives inculpating them and whiteflame blindly poisoning wylted. I don't think it was unsalvageable since wylted could show up as Town to Shining and awesome5000 at my discretion, which I would have done since scum were doing so badly, but Evil would have had an uphill battle when everyone was too tired of the game to coast along.

wylted, who is Poisoned, receives false information. I showed him a totally wrong role list except for the identity of his evil teammates in hopes that he would quickly realize something was wrong and open chats with them to figure out what was wrong. wylted and whiteflame eventually caught on. I wonder if I should have given wylted correct information since Good had such a strong night 0, but then he might have wondered if it was wrong.
I'm not going to give a play-by-play of the game here since I don't think anyone really cares that much, but I can offer commentary about what went on behind the scenes if you want. Just one thing I want to point out: How in the blue mother of fuck did people let Pie get away with opening a chat with everyone in the game? This is a testament to what you can get away with by saying you are doing it without extra comment or drawing attention to it. I would say that only Pie has the aura to get a pass on bullshit like that, but I wouldn't have believed that even he could do it.
