If you reply to people in chat, they will get notifications
Or tag them, type @ and start typing their name like in discord and it will pop up. That's how you get ppl to use chat more.

Can we normalize using the Main Chat more?

I mean, no offense, but it takes me quite some time to check forum because I am not getting notifications anymore especially when Debby responds to me. I also gotta check opinions section all the time.
Chat is a bit slow and difficult to keep checking.
