Okay, I just learned Krita can make animations too, which is awesome considering its free program.

Now, animations are a bit more difficult to make than mere images.

Animation is a series of images.

So you need more than 1 image, and also, you need to make movement in image.

Movement is made in easier way by choosing what parts of image wont move, and then only editing and saving the ones which do move. that way, you make more images faster, and then combine them in animation.

Animation is just series of images in proper order.

Now, more images and less distance between movements usually creates more smooth animations.

And that is a lot of work. Lets say you do 24 frames per second. It means only 1 second of animation takes 24 images.

tho one can do very few frames per second too.

Due to my high sugar diet, I am actually getting younger, not older.

While studies on high sugar diet mostly include people who are overweight, when high sugar diet is done with workout and with controlled calorie intake to avoid getting fat, it produces amazing results.

Huh, kinda looks like this little Russian girl. Was she the inspiration?

Was she the inspiration?

No, Masha was not the inspiration, but when I draw, sometimes my drawing ends up looking like some character from anime. Well, after watching a few drawing tutorials, it seems there is actually a very specific rule about distance when drawing. So if you choose a certain distance between chin and sides of face, you end up producing similar character each time. Same with hair. With eyes, there is a rule I learned, which is to have distance of one eye between eyes. That seems to work and it seems to be a standard. With mouth, it's usually mouth in middle between nose and chin, or eyes and chin. There are a lot of distance rules, but they usually follow rule of one half, half of one half, or one third.

This is tutorial I followed:

While my drawing isn't as good as in this tutorial, it's getting closer to it.

The methodology of drawing while using the distancing rules has always been interesting to me. My mom took drawing classes when she was in high school, and she would explain some things to me about the symmetry and spacing between ears and eyes, for example. It was neat to see how there was a geometry--a mathematic logic--to the facial configuration.

Yeah, the tutorial I linked shows exactly that. Exact distance between eyes, between mouth, nose...ect.

Drawing is much easier once you realize these rules. Also, I use Krita on PC to draw, and I usually enable symmetry so whatever I draw on left is also drawn on right side of image. This creates symmetry easily, because left and right become identical like mirrored.

That's cool. I built a pc a few months ago, so maybe I'll try Krita for drawing

Let us see the talent you have been hiding.

Krita is best free software, as far as I know. Ibis paint X is good too, but must be paid I think, only lets you use it for some time.

Right now, I am mainly using Krita. I am so used to it that I don't even feel like trying anything else.
