A cutting edge up to the moment U.S. debating forum seems to be showing little interest in current Middle Eastern events.

So are you good old American folk too ashamed to mention it?...Or what?

And so typically by association we Brits get dragged into the U.S's newest War for Oil escapade.

An escapade hypocritically based upon the same old spurious weapons of mass destruction ticket.

So where will it be next?

Greenland perhaps?...For all those rare earth metals and mineral deposits and not to mention an estimated 150 billion barrels of oil...Though the weapons of mass destruction and narcotics ruses ain't going to cut so much mustard...Not that the current U.S. dictatorship seems to care that much...They'll blame this one on Russia who do possess a lot of weapons of mass destruction...Not invading Russia of course, just hanging around in Greenland, mining....At least they wouldn't need British air bases for this one.

Hey, it is what it is though.

I don't 'feel ashamed about it.

Though, Mencius says,

“A man must not be without shame, for the shame of being without shame is shamelessness indeed.”

Well. . . I feel shame about 'other things.

Nothing in particular, some personal, some related to America, some other. (Shrug)

. . . I've talked about Iran a 'bit on DebateCraft, but I don't have too much to say.

I don't 'know too much about the situation.

https://www.debatecraft.com/forum/c/politics/posts/po/attack-on-iran---a-very-very-stupid-mistake?page=1

. . .

'Should I feel shame?

What about?

Well, the 'sudden nature of the situation maybe, doesn't really seem 'honorable or matching with some ideas of international law.

But then, history with Iran has been a bit 'odd for years, maybe.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Qasem_Soleimani

Even if we declared and suddenly warred some other nation, say Greenland.

My first feeling would not be shame I think,

But cold calculation on how this effects us.

International politics, is more about calculations and tactics I think.

Though one 'can still feel shame.

I feel a bit ashamed about anyone we left behind in Iraq, that supported our mission there.

'Should I feel shame?

What about?

The deaths of people in Iran?

Well, there's that cold calculation again, and the view that this conflict has been going on for a while in a way.

People die in war. (Shrug)

"Propaganda leaflets, similar to the ones the US distributed throughout Syria and Iraq, were distributed to Afghans by Iranian-linked forces who were "ramping up efforts and started to escalate into violence" amid President Barack Obama's troop withdrawal in 2016, the former senior US official told Insider.

Iran has long relied on proxy forces to wage war against enemies like the US, exacting a heavy toll on US troops in Iraq."

https://www.businessinsider.com/iran-bounties-us-troops-afghanistan-propaganda-leaflets-2020-8

"In August 2018, Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei banned direct talks with the United States.[8] According to the US Department of Justice, Iran has since attempted to assassinate US officials and dissidents, including US president Donald Trump.[9][10]"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran%E2%80%93United_States_relations

At least America isn't kidnapping tourists, or recording videos of chopping off the heads of bound captives.

. . Though arguably my information is not perfect,

And arguably I may be misstating influence of organizations.

'Should I feel shame?

What about?

The callousness of Hegseth?

Hegseth on Iran: 'We Are Punching Them While They're Down'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv0S-7eWpkU

No, I mostly just feel irritation at what I view as his lack of understanding of the value of tact.

. . . Though arguably people have different methods of influence.

(Shrug) I didn't vote for Trump, I don't identify politically as a Republican.

I don't 'particularly 'identify with Trump.

'Should I feel shame?

What about?

The Memic Propaganda?

https://www.aol.com/news/ben-stiller-asks-white-house-211442590.html

There's that calculation again.

We humans have 'all used propaganda.

I don't see it as 'ideal, but we used it in WW2, with Bugs Bunny and others.

The enemies of America are undoubtedly using it 'now against 'us.

There is 'intelligence in propaganda and memes.

I feel more preoccupied with weighing the Pros and Cons of such propaganda, than any shame.

And there 'are Cons.

. . . But I. . . I am not impressed by the celebrities complaints.

What, parody is fine when they or Weird Al do it? But not the government?

In such a conflict loyalty to should be to one's own country.

. . Which 'admittedly they have in a 'way.

. . . . . I feel like sneering.

One could even claim the same of people who don't stand or kneel for the anthem, ah yes. Freedom is nice in America, including my freedom not to support 'entertainers who don't show an appreciation for America.

. . .

I 'do admit I worry about dehumanizing our enemy,

Or going at this too blind or overconfident,

I worry about us being too caviler with people's lives.

But I do not feel ashamed about our conflict with Iran.

. . . Partially because I am uneducated to feel 'too strong one way or the other.

Partially because, if this 'is necessary, then it is necessary.

Should more people die 'later, because we were unwilling to die or kill a bit now?

Just another dumb war by aggressive USA.

In past 20 years, USA attacked Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iran, Venezuela, and bunch of other countries.

None of these countries attacked USA in any meaningful way, but of course politicians will seek bunch of excuses to start wars. And excuses are easy to find. It is actually easy to find excuse to start a war with any country. But Americans are too stupid to realize that.

Edit post

#4 •••
@SergeantLynch

the problem for Americans is mainly a lack of consistent standard.

Lets imagine a standard used for Iraq applied universally.

Iraq was invaded because it "could produce weapons of mass destruction" (Not because it has done so).

Apply that universally, and you can invade any bigger country as long as you convince Americans that leadership of that country has even slightest interest in producing weapons, even if that country doesnt actually have such interest and doesnt have such weapons.

Now Greenland is even worse case, because trump wanted to invade Greenland purely for preventing it to be used by China and Russia. On this excuse, you can invade basically any country in the world who has any cooperation with China or Russia. You can even invade Europe for trading with Russia.

trump's actual goal is China and Russia. trump knows that China is growing rapidly, will eventually be superior to USA, and trump wants to contain China.

Venezuela was attacked for selling oil to China. Iran was attacked for selling oil to China. Greenland similar. Goal is to starve China of oil, to put it simply. Because China wont be able to grow as much if it lacks oil, while USA will be able to grow because it takes oil for itself.

Oh pulease, the Middle East events had their 15 minutes of fame, we've moved on, Brittany Spears got a DUI you know, try to keep up.

So are you good old American folk too ashamed to mention it?...Or what?

Trump keeps us so ashamed, we are just getting numb to it all.

And so typically by association we Brits get dragged into the U.S's newest War for Oil escapade.

It’s not a war for oil, it’s a war for Epstein distraction, a war for the personal delight of a sociopathic megalomaniac, and it’s a war to consolidate power, crackdown on dissent, and control or cancel elections.

An escapade hypocritically based upon the same old spurious weapons of mass destruction ticket.

Same old? No way, you take that back bucko, WMDs is so thirty years ago, catch up man.

It is a new war based on new and improved conspiracy theories, social media extremism, and TV Performance politics. Weapons of mass destruction are just what we use to feel better.

So where will it be next?

Cuba is in the batter’s box, with concurrent attacks on Blue States of course.

Oh please, that’s so “last week” of you, those are all “used” already, we like our distractions fast and fresh. Old shit doesn't get you clicks.

Hey, it is what it is though.

Hmmm, where have I heard that before, oh yeah, I remember...isn’t that what everybody saying back in the summer of 1939?

The stock market is taking a nose dive. It is costing America a billion dollars a day to pay for the war.

Edit post

@Debby

thats what happens when you start a pointless war you cant possibly win. Your resources get drained.

Edit post

#8 •••
@SatanLucy

How long do you think this war will drag on for?

Edit post

#9 •••
@Debby

It can continue for years, but Iran wont lose. Iran will just keep attacking until US is baited into ground invasion which US will lose.

Edit post

#10 •••
@SatanLucy

So Trump can still blame it on others for losing the war in Iran.

Not sure if the money is worth it, but at least we get a great deal on the casualties.

It will be a great achievement for any president to defeat Iran, it that is even possible. The cost and human casualties makes it’s a repeat of Iraq but 3 times worse.

Nice.

Conspiracies hey.

Epstein was an Alien Jewish lizard

Hegseth is an Alien Jewish lizard.

Trump is a wannabee lizard and does what he is told.

Why else would there be a primate moron in the Whitehouse, and a Lizard secretary of defence...Yes another one that couldn't keep his lizard dick in his pants.

And in the Early 1900's, when the ruling Jewish lizard houses of Europe lost their cool and coerced 20million Earth based primates to their deaths, H G Wells told us that it was the war to end all wars.

Ha, but the noisy little primate, the one with the funny little moustache had other ideas to wipe out the Alien Jewish Lizards, but his plans went tits up thanks in the main to the dogged Russians and eventually American folk inspired by their home grown Alien Jewish lizard elite using British airbases...Yeah we got our own lizards too...Still have.

And for sure, it's all about Earth resources, how else are they going to get back to heaven....Not on fucking donkey's that's for sure.

Houses of Parliament dear Sir.

Hey, a few old lizards turn up for a snooze in the House of Lords occasionally when they are not pheasant shooting or hunting foxes...And it's their kin that run the show...Whereas the house of commons is just that.

@Debby

They're easy to spot.

Though they evolved similarly to primates.

It's just that here on earth an asteroid wiped out the early dominant reptilians.

On Planet Heaven reptilians persisted as the dominant species, eventually losing their tails, becoming upright, bipedal and dexterous with four fingers and opposing thumbs.

Evolving unhindered, allowed them to develop intellectually several million years ago.

So they came crashed and became stranded..........To be continued.
