I like being drunk. Some feelings you cant really remove without alcohol or drugs, and I dont have money for drugs, so I have to do alcohol instead. Being drunk is temporary solution, which is a lot better than no solution at all.

Smoking I dont recommend because its not like alcohol, cigarettes are addiction which must be fueled daily. Its not something you can realistially do once a week. tho if you already want to smoke, better use vape. Lasts much longer than a cigarette, also comes with taste. Personally, I didnt need to smoke because my parents effectively made me second hand smoker for whole childhood.

Its not like cigarettes and drugs. When you smoke cigarettes, you have issues of going just 1 day without a cigarette. And drugs will ruin your dopamine system, so you cant feel happiness anymore without drugs.

Alcohol, you can get drunk with two glasses of wine, and these are even considered healthy and not "too much".

Also, alcohol is cheaper than drugs or cigarettes. At least cheap wine is. Beer I dont recommend because its too low alcohol, and those higher level alcohols such as vodka taste terrible, even if great for getting drunk quickly.

Average person who drinks alcohol isnt any addicted to it, can go months without it without any problems.

Same is not true for those who smoke and do drugs. Person who smokes has issues to go just 1 day without cigarette. Person who does drugs gets mental breakdown when without them.

Alcohol addiction is rare among drinkers. Cigarette addiction is almost universal among smokers.

You aren't truly a Christian if you support alcoholism, fornication and that vibe at the holiest day other than Easter for Western Christians (Eastern have alternate names and dates for both events, they often have Jan 7th or 6th as their Christmas day and their Easter is known as Pascha and isn't always even on a Sunday (they focus harder on matching up to a consistent date but it varies, not 100% sure about why, 4th-8th).

I thought Christians were opposed to self harm. Really, quoting those parts of Bible is literally illegal because it promotes self-harm.

He was making a very extreme metaphor for how much we must hate sinning in an adultrous/lustful manner. This was a reply to someone that called me a fake Christian (or even non Christians that claimed this about Christianity) one of the 'brood of vipers'. I was disproving him and that I did.

One of the reasons sola scriptura (which protestants adhere to) is very problematic is they read things and assume that the first literal interpretation is always correct. That isn't how you are meant to read all parts of the Bible, it's only how you're meant to read most of it. In that part, he was certainly being metaphorical and speaking in hyperbole. However what is literal, is you should rather lose and eye and hand than end up in Hell. That is the real key point he was making.

This meant don't judge who is 100% in Hell or not (maybe barring extremely airtight cases like Stalin and Hitler but whatever). You are meant to assume you don't know who ends up in Heaven or Hell while they're still alive. That's the actual context and what he was commanding. He probably also meant for the dead but definitely meant it more towards the still-alive. I don't think he included extremely obviously evil people though but I honestly don't want to be too heretical here so I'll leave it at that.

I will just say that it's strange that we have Saints who we say are definitely in Heaven yet we're also not meant to judge as if we know that... Blatant contradiction but that's life.
