Alright, there's no easy way to say this, especially since I transferred from DebateArt after it was taken down... but I kind of wanted to reveal it one way or another.
...I am the user "Undefeatable". It started off as an experiment, a way to see how much I could really do. I wanted to see how many debates I could win by careful research and almost always instigating the debate, rather than noob-sniping. A reverse Oromagi or Ragnar, if you will. It was pretty nice getting to know each side of a topic and carefully writing out the rounds using strong expert topic. I also had the rule that I was not allowed to concede a debate - some forfeits were due to bad timing, but otherwise I couldn't back off on any topic.
After the "Systemic Racism" debates, I realized I still didn't quite understand the rhetorical nitpicks or the semantic arguments. Also, it didn't matter that my username was 'Undefeatable', I still struggled in the entertainment and more niche topics, not to mention losing to rational madman in Comp Sci, my expertise.
Overall, I'm a little embarrassed I still lost a significant amount of debates, but I'm happy to have a majority win record account instead of a majority loss. (Fun Fact: My main account gugigor has a 35% win rate, which is actually Undefeatable's loss rate, so I basically inverted my win/loss ratio) I found it funny in the video chat that Mister Chris was asking Whiteflame what he thought of "Undefeatable" while I was sitting right there trying to keep a poker face. It was a good run yall.
I might continue Undefeatable-style debates here and there with this account, since it's a fresh start, just to keep everyone off their toes. So, what did you guys think? Was "Undefeatable" a significantly stronger debater than me? Or was it kind of obvious if you read over the research and the arguments?
