The concept of sacrifice. . .
I can conceptualize it better as an act of remorse and personal transformation,

Well, what problems are they trying to solve by banning kids from the internet?
Arguably they may want to create a child whose education and indoctrination is funneled into beliefs valued by the current people and state.
In that sense, I think banning kids from the internet could be effective.
But I don't think these age verifications they are pushing will work, they are still very easy to get around.
