Alright, so I am writing this after about half a bottle of wine, so excuse me if some things I say make less sense.

First, I feel sorry for all people who cant afford alcohol and also dont know how to make it using yeast and sugar.

I also feel sorry for all people who bought wine but forgot to buy opener for wine bottle. Yeah, thats going to be a disappointment.

But thats not why you opened this topic. You opened this topic because you wanted to know why being drunk is logical, or maybe you just misclicked.

Now, if you drank half a bottle of wine, it is logical to be drunk.

So we got the logical part covered.

Now, we must cover the good part. Why is it good to be drunk?

Well, logical things are good, and it is logical to be drunk after drinking lots of wine, so its good to be drunk because its logical.

Now, I ordered online some silver, some coin with flag of great Britain, made in 2025. Sadly, it will reach me in 2026, so I literally have to wait a whole year.

Now, life isnt fair.

If you think about it, people in Japan get to celebrate new year sooner.

thats not fair.

they will be in 2026 while I will still be in 2025.

Explain to me how is that fair.

this proves that life is objectively not fair.

Its also not fair that I cant open second bottle of wine because I dont have opener.

You see, I bought two different wine bottles. But one of them requires a wine opener.

So yeah, happy new year.

I hope all of you get drunk.

And for those who dont drink, well, I dont know how to help you.

Some tips for you.

Not having a wine opener on New Year's Day is a classic problem, but you can solve it by

pushing the cork inwith a sturdy object (spoon handle, pen), using a shoe/towel method to pop it out, or carefully employing heat (lighter/hairdryer) on the bottle's neck (be cautious with cold bottles!). Other DIY hacks involve a screw and pliers, a key, or even a wire hanger to extract or push the cork, ensuring you have wine for your midnight toast.

Household Item Hacks (Use with Caution)

  1. Push-In Method: Use the handle of a spoon, a sturdy pen, or even a toothbrush handle to apply steady pressure and push the cork down into the wine.
  2. Shoe Method: Place the bottle's base in a shoe (with a towel around it) and gently bang the shoe against a wall; the cork should slowly ease out.
  3. Screw & Pliers: Drive a screw into the cork, then use pliers to pull the screw (and cork) out.
  4. Key/Knife Hack: Insert a house key or serrated knife at a 45-degree angle into the cork and twist to lift it out.

Heat Methods (Risky)

  1. Lighter/Hairdryer: Apply heat to the neck of the bottle (below the cork) to expand the air and push the cork out. WARNING: Only do this with room-temperature bottles; cold bottles can shatter due to rapid temperature change.

The "Pirate" Method

  1. Just Push It In: If all else fails, shove the cork all the way in and pour your wine, maybe through a strainer if you're worried about cork bits!.

Quick Fix for Beer/Soda

  1. Use a Lighter/Screwdriver: For capped bottles, use the leverage from a lighter or the tip of a flathead screwdriver to pry the cap off.

Alrighty, will try that. Out of all the methods listed, this one sounds most simple.

To drink wine properly, use the "See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip, Savor" method: observe its color, swirl to release aromas, sniff deeply, take a small sip, and let it coat your palate to taste its flavors before savoring the finish, all while holding the glass by the stem at the right temperature in appropriate glassware.

1. See

  1. Hold the glass against a white background, tilt it, and check the color and clarity.

2. Swirl

  1. Gently swirl the wine in the glass to expose it to oxygen, releasing aromas. (Tip: Start by circling on the table, then lift to continue).

3. Sniff

  1. Bring the glass to your nose and take short, deep sniffs, identifying scents like fruit, spice, or earth.

4. Sip

  1. Take a small sip, letting it roll over your tongue to coat your entire mouth, not just gulping.

5. Savor

  1. Let the wine sit in your mouth, then exhale through your nose to experience the full flavor profile. Note the body (light/full), acidity, tannins, and finish (how long flavors linger).

Key Tips for the Experience

  1. Glassware: Use a proper stemmed glass, holding it by the stem to avoid warming the wine.
  2. Temperature: Serve reds slightly below room temp and whites chilled; too hot or cold dulls flavor.
  3. Pace: Sip slowly and don't overpour (about 5oz is standard).
  4. Environment: Taste in a clean, distraction-free area to focus on aromas.
  5. Food: Pair with complementary foods to enhance flavors.

Alright, this cannot work with bottle I bought. No amount of pressure can push it in. Its literally impossible.

Best Muslim post 2025

The US is a definitively secular nation, founded on complete separation of the State and religion. The Left Wing of US realise this but don't realise that pure freedom requires as low tax and free access to guns as possible. The Right Wing of US don't realise that secular pure freedom means the LGBTQ+ and abortion agendas both end up in line with US's liberty-first ethos.

It is left-wing to be pro-life. You are backing poor babies being born at the inconvenience of the already-born. Go figure.

Generally, Muslim women do not consume alcohol because it is considered

haram (forbidden) in Islam, as stated in the Quran and Hadith. While this is a foundational rule of the faith applicable to both men and women, the application and adherence to this prohibition can vary among individuals.

Key details regarding this topic include:

  1. Religious Prohibition: Islam views alcohol as an intoxicant (khamr), which is forbidden regardless of the amount consumed. The Quran dictates that intoxicants are "the work of Satan" and advises believers to avoid them.
  2. Variations in Practice: Although the majority of Muslims globally consider drinking alcohol morally wrong, not all abstain. Some Muslims may drink privately or socially, depending on their level of religious observance, cultural background, or personal interpretation.
  3. Social Challenges: Muslim women, particularly in Western countries, may face social pressure or feel marginalized in professional settings where drinking is a norm, such as during "happy hours" or networking events.
  4. Cultural Context: In some regions with Muslim heritage, such as Turkey, Bosnia, and Albania, social drinking may be more common, even if the majority of the population identifies as Muslim.

Ultimately, while the religious mandate is clear, actual behavior varies from strict abstinence to social consumption.

Yes the exponential push in pull out method is okay.

But their are other slower methods, based upon a simple suction principle.

Though Champagne and similar alternatives such as Cava or Prosecco require a full blown orgasmic release.

Such are wine metaphors.

A happy and prosperous New Year to you.

alcohol is banned or heavily restricted in many Muslim-majority countries due to Islamic prohibitions, but laws vary significantly, with some nations having total bans (like Saudi Arabia), while others allow it for non-Muslims or tourists in specific settings (like the UAE, Egypt, or Malaysia), often requiring licenses or limiting sales to private areas or certain times like Ramadan.

Countries with Strict Bans/Restrictions

  1. Total Prohibition (for Muslims): Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and Brunei.
  2. Public Ban, Private Exception (for Non-Muslims/Tourists): Pakistan, Iran, Libya, Sudan (post-2020 relaxation), Oman, Qatar, and Bangladesh.
  3. Regional Restrictions: The UAE (Sharjah is stricter), Indonesia (Aceh province), and some areas in Malaysia.

Key Variations in Laws

  1. Religious vs. Secular Laws: Some laws are strictly religious (prohibiting Muslims), while others are more state-controlled.
  2. Licenses & Permits: Non-Muslims often need government-issued permits or licenses to purchase and consume alcohol.
  3. Public vs. Private: Many countries permit consumption in private homes or licensed venues, but forbid public drinking.
  4. Ramadan Rules: Sales are often banned or heavily restricted during the holy month of Ramadan.
  5. Modernization Efforts: Some nations, like Saudi Arabia, are introducing limited legal alcohol sales for tourism and business.

Why the Restrictions?

  1. Islamic Teachings: The Quran prohibits intoxication, viewing alcohol as a major sin, leading to strict enforcement in many Muslim-majority nations.

Top Regions and Countries with Higher Liberal Tendencies

  1. Southeast Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania are ranked as the most free and liberal, often with secular legal systems and higher social tolerance.
  2. Central Asia: Countries like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have a history of enforced secularism during the Soviet era, which has led to more liberal, secular societies.
  3. Turkic Countries: Azerbaijan and Turkey are frequently cited for their secular traditions and liberal urban cultures, particularly in cities like Istanbul and Izmir.
  4. North Africa & Middle East: Tunisia is often highlighted for its progressive reforms, such as banning polygamy and promoting women's rights. Lebanon is also considered relatively liberal due to its diverse, multi-confessional population.

Key Characteristics of Liberal Muslim Societies

  1. Secularism: Countries with secular constitutions (e.g., Turkey, Albania, Kazakhstan) tend to have more personal freedoms.
  2. Women's Rights: Higher levels of freedom for women are observed in regions where traditional interpretations of Islamic law are less strictly applied.
  3. Urban vs. Rural Divide: Liberalism is often more prevalent in major cities (e.g., Istanbul, Beirut) compared to rural areas.

Muslims in the West

Muslims living in Western countries (such as Canada, the US, and France) often vote for liberal or social-democratic parties. While they may be socially conservative on certain issues, they generally support secularism and civil rights in the context of being a minority.

Drinking in moderation is perfectly acceptable.

But please be careful. Because in your case, it doesn't take much liquor for you specifically to get tipsy or drunk.

Therefore, eat well, drink safely, and toast to a great 2026.

Yeah, I got drunk after only 1 liter of wine. tho the effect didnt last long, because I couldnt open second bottle.

Unless you are a hardened wino, a litre of wine will easily make you drunk, will just as easily make you vomit and will more than likely give you a thick head in the morning.

Been there, done that.

Lesson learned.

Its not really about getting drunk as much as it is staying drunk.

You see, getting drunk is easy. One bigger glass of wine, and effect is felt.

But that effect only lasts an hour at most.

So I must drink a glass of wine about every hour just to keep effect, and because of that, one wine bottle isnt usually enough for one day.

Now, if I drank it all at once, I would be very drunk, but effect wouldnt last as long as it does when I drink one glass per hour.

Also, I have some strange immunity to alcohol. I cant get drunk from beer which has low alcohol content. Its not possible for me to drink amount of beer necessary to get drunk.

I stick to wine, and it must have above 11% alcohol, because even 11% is not good enough. Goal is to get drunk faster, and with lower alcohol content, you must drink much more.

I have tried vodka too when I was in high school, and some high alcohol percentage drinks. However, I like wine the most because taste is far better than anything else, and doesnt burn throat like vodka does.

To maintain a state of being drunk ("wine drunk") while consuming wine, it is necessary to manage the rate of alcohol absorption into your bloodstream to prevent becoming too intoxicated too quickly or sobering up too fast

. The key is to keep your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at a steady level, typically by sipping rather than chugging, which allows your body to metabolize the alcohol continuously.

Here are tips based on maintaining a steady level of intoxication:

Pacing and Consumption Strategy

  1. Sip, Don't Chug: Wine is designed to be savored. Sipping slowly allows you to maintain a consistent buzz rather than hitting a peak and crashing.
  2. Time Your Drinks: Aim to consume no more than one standard drink (5 oz of wine) per hour, as this is roughly the rate at which the liver breaks down alcohol.
  3. Use Straight-Sided Glasses: Research indicates people tend to drink up to 60% slower from straight glasses compared to curved ones.
  4. Avoid Carbonation: Sparkling wines and champagne can cause alcohol to be absorbed faster.

Physiological Tips

  1. Hydrate Simultaneously: Alternate each glass of wine with a glass of water to keep your body hydrated and slow the consumption rate.
  2. Eat While Drinking: Consuming snacks, particularly those with fat or protein, while drinking can help slow the rate at which alcohol enters your bloodstream.
  3. Avoid Mixing: Mixing different types of alcohol or combining wine with energy drinks can cause unpredictable effects and lead to faster intoxication.

Factors Affecting "Wine Drunk"

  1. Type of Wine: Red wines generally have higher ABV (13% to 14.5%) compared to light white wines (9% to 11.5%).
  2. Weight and Sex: Individuals with lower body weight or higher body fat percentages tend to become intoxicated faster.
  3. Fatigue: Physical exhaustion can prevent your body from processing alcohol effectively.

Safety Warning: It is important to know your limits and avoid driving if you have been drinking. The only way to know if you are over the legal limit is with a breathalyzer, not by how you feel.
