no, we will never

Well, you sure won't, will you? Who says flapping arms is the sum of our flight potential? Surely, that's your failure. So be it.

"I can't," said Luke Skywalker.

"That is why your fail," Yoda replied.

Go for it, flap away.

Jesus proved human flight was possible.

The statement that "Jesus flew to heaven" describes the Christian belief known as the Ascension, where Jesus, after his resurrection, was taken up bodily into heaven in the presence of his disciples. It is detailed in the Book of Acts and the Gospel of Luke, and is a central tenet of Christian theology, signifying Jesus' enthronement at the right hand of God.

  1. The Event
  2. The Ascension is described as an event where Jesus was physically lifted up into the sky and hidden from view by a cloud.

  3. The Witnesses
  4. The event was witnessed by his disciples, who were watching as he ascended.

  5. Timing
  6. According to the New Testament, the Ascension occurred 40 days after Jesus's resurrection.

  7. Theological Significance
  8. The Ascension is understood as a pivotal event, not just a physical journey. It represents Jesus's return to his divine glory, his enthronement as king, and his role as intercessor for humanity. It is the completion of his earthly work and the promise of his eventual return.

  9. Symbolism
  10. The cloud is sometimes seen as a symbol of God's presence or glory, not just a physical cloud. The event is also significant for the disciples, as it was followed by the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

You are the one nailed to the cross of flapping arms. So, you, first.

I'm saying, there may be other means available. If not now, there is a future, or is that a limited Sidewalker view? That's entirely on you, my friend.

From a spiritual and new-age perspective, learning ascension is considered possible through a process of spiritual awakening and personal growth

. In this context, ascension is not a physical escape from Earth but a journey of expanding consciousness and integrating one's spiritual essence into their physical life.

The path of spiritual ascension is often described as a series of stages that can be supported through various practices.

When you figure it out, I think you should always wear a cape when you fly.

It's just the right thing to do.

A cape. Flap arms. Boring, and probably not evolutionary at all.

I figure human-powered flight will be achieved by thought, alone. Mind over matter, just as are most of humanity's advantages over other animals.

Everybody knows that mind over matter works better with a cape.

I just realized I've not replied to the original question of this string, which does not ask about man's flight, pin which I was caught up in this string, but death. I perceive death as taking two forms: one, physical death of the body, which I perceive as separation of the spirit from the physical body, which, heretofore, has occurred to everyone born on Earth, but will not be a permanent condition for anyone; and, two, spiritual death, which is a physical separation of the human spirit from God, which may or may not be a permanent condition. Whether or not we are permanently separated from God is entirely up to us and the quality of our mortal righteousness.

physical death of the body,

If your dead and you know it then your life will surely show it, clap your hands...sung to the tune of ?

Spirit-2 { energy } = Fermionic Matter and Bosonic Forces { ex EMRadiation } aka physical reality or observed{ quantised } time ergo any colletive aggregate thereof ex the human body, planets etc

which I perceive as separation of the spirit from the physical body,

Spirit-1 = meta-space mind/intellect/concepts and ego, which will no longer exist after biologic death. Faux your confused about four primary kinds of Spirit.

which, heretofore, has occurred to everyone born on Earth, but will not be a permanent condition for anyone;

Anything is possible that does not violate the finite set of eternally existent, finite set of physical laws and cosmic principles.

Perhaps it is possible, that, with and eternally existent, recycling/regenerating Universe, that, zillions of light years from now, we will live the exact same life were living now. Kinda of like movie Ground Hog day.

Eternity is beyond a long { finite } time

and, two, spiritual death, which is a physical separation of the human spirit from God,

God has three primary aspects:

..> God as meta-space mind/intellect/concepts and ego

..> God as the macro-infinite, truly non-occupied space, existent outside of the following,

..> God as finite, occupied space Universe

No thanks necessary Faux, happy to clarify your confusion about what exists, what does not exist and death.

God as the Trinity is the Christian doctrine that one God exists in three consubstantial, co-eternal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are distinct, but share one divine essence or being. This belief is central to mainstream Christianity, though some non-trinitarian Christian groups reject it.

popular children's rhyme: "If You're Happy and You Know it, Clap Your Hands." origin is unknown, but was awarded a copyright in 1971, though is known to be much older than that date.

I am not intrigued by your continuous meme of mathematic counterfeit correlation v. causation-attempted humor. Fermions and bosons notwithstanding, they ought to be strung together, cheek-to-cheek, to sing some Greek chorus of Ulysses combatting Irus, the beggar. I favor literature over mathematics, anyway, if only because I have more ciphers to tell my stories than yours, since I have all languages at my disposal, and you have but one: universal numbers. And those ciphers of yours amount to merely 10 ciphers, whereas mine, just in Egyptian hieroglyphs, count greater than 3,500. Now, let's add Roman, Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew characters, etc, etc... get it? You're circumscribed.

Faux your in denial of obvious truths so you run from truth whether in science, language of math or any other language.

You need to stick to religion forum as it fits your mental state the best. Best wishes.

Thanks, but our time together is already > 24/6 considering there are a few hours each week apart, but more than most couples, I'll wager. We like being together, pure and simple. You find a clock that gives mores than 24 hours in a day, I'll buy it. If we could, we'd move to Venus, whose day is > 5,800 hours; 18 hours longer than its full year.
