Hmmmmm
Hmmmmm
I have nothing to hide and have been honest about my age many times.
So for the record, I am currently in my 65th year.
What about you Lucy, can you be honest about anything?
Well, we can hypothesise alternatives, but there is seemingly no alternative to the brief period of birth, survival and death that we are currently afforded...And despite our better or worse fortunes no one is afforded anything better.
So, everything that is the universal process is either meaningful or meaningless...But we are aware that the universe is dynamic and evolving, which suggests an inherent purpose to everything and as such we are part of the process of universal progression, especially with regard to more complex material development and technological progress.
My thoughts in this thread are based upon an assumed universal inevitability, that a thinking and manipulative organism would inevitably and necessarily evolve, specifically to fulfil the necessary role of complex material developers and technologists.
So, is that the entirety of our brief universal existence, merely slaves to universal evolution and material progress wherein we are afforded a few more or less comfortable years of survival before we are recycled.
No doubt ardent theists will offer us some hypothetical but unprovable alternative. But wishful thinking is what it is, is what it always has been and has not progressed in it's wishfulness since it was first a thought.
Abortion, is just thought provoking terminology, that simply represents the benefit of non-existence when compared to a few brief years of more or less stressful universal servitude.
See above.
Nice thoughts.
Question:
Is the inevitability of death, the dread of suffering and potential decrepitude, better than never knowing.
You purport to have access to unlimited funds and investment capital.
So instead of being a skinflint, why don't your pay a surrogate rather than expect her to volunteer.
So for the record, I am currently in my 65th year.
You sound older.
You purport to have access to unlimited funds and investment capital.
No, I don't have infinite wealth. I have wealth which is currently sufficient to support me for next 40 years, and when gold and land skyrocket in value, also my wife and 5 sons.
So instead of being a skinflint, why don't your pay a surrogate rather than expect her to volunteer
Child needs a mother. I am not raising a child as a single parent. I need an obedient healthy woman who can give birth to more than 1 kids, and of course she will get rewarded for her efforts with plenty of chocolate. (She needs sugar so developing fetus in womb has access to sugar too, to possibly develop bigger brain).
Now, of course, my current wealth doesn't include inheritance from my dad. While my dad never gave me a single dollar, and never even hugged me, I am still legally his son. This means that I should get some inheritance from him, which will hopefully be a lot because he owes me like a million dollars by now for everything he did to me.
So, dad's inheritance plus current wealth, plus gold and land skyrocketing places me in a better position.
Of course, I always want more, because I want for my children to be rich. I don't want them suffering in poverty like I did when parents bought me cheapest smartphone.
No, my children need to live as rich people who will already have plenty of money once they turn 18.
Now, hopefully, more wealth will flow my way.
I don't want to have a job, because I don't want to be one of those parents who work all day and their kid gets raised by Tik Tok, or worse, television.
No, I need to be there for my son constantly.
So, it can't really be a payed woman, I need a female volunteer who will not only give birth, but also be there too for my son.
It needs to be a complete family, which is scientifically proved to be superior to single parent households.
Now, I can sense more money coming my way, which is good because money attracts women to me naturally.
Tho I probably shouldn't marry a woman who is too poor. I know poor people have worse nutrition, and as a result, less capable brains.
Ideally, I would marry an 18 year old woman who is a millionaire and has IQ of 160 and is expert in many fields of science, tho I understand I will probably have to settle for woman of average or maybe even lower than average IQ and lower than average total wealth.
Still, my goal in life is to reproduce to give humanity it's next spiritual leader.
For this, I need wealth and woman capable of reproduction.
Now, once I earn enough wealth and also inherit house and land and money, that should naturally attract women to me.
Of course, if my dad was competent, he would have at least left me 400 million dollars, and then my reproduction would be made a lot easier.

I don't know,
But since I already know of it, I'd rather know.
Even if there were a technology and societal way to forget about it.
Course on another hand, were someone to offer to tell me some fell dread secret about myself,
Such as whether I ate a bug in my sleep last night,
I think I'd rather not know.
I'm happy enough assuming I did not, even if I 'did eat one. Not that I did.
. . . But were I in a relationship, and my significant other was cheating on me, I suppose I'd want to know.
. . .
But that is relevant, close, personal, not quite the same question maybe.
Hypothetical a family member did some evil in the past, to stranger, family, or myself without my knowing, would I have wanted/want to know?
Probably, but that is duty, love, and social.
. . . Course one doesn't want to know 'everything family has done. Measure of privacy and distance is nice.
. . . . . .
Hm, (Shrug), My money says it's a hit or miss, bit random what people would want to know about.
Inklings of ideas though, what 'don't I 'know? I am certain I will die someday, I am not 'completely certain that death is the end.
. . . 'Whatever is next, would I want to 'know?
. .Hypothetical, there is something happy and grand after death, might be comforting to know.
Hypothetical, there is something awful after death, whether some horrible pain, loss of some part of self, or nothingness (Though some find nothingness comforting).
Would I want to know if after death was something awful?
Hit or miss I think,
I can imagine myself in different moments of life wanting to know, dependent on current values and goals, and assumptions on how the information might motivate me.
“Sigmund Freud once asserted, "Let one attempt to expose a number of the most diverse people uniformly to hunger. With the increase of the imperative urge of hunger all individual differences will blur, and in their stead will appear the uniform expression of the one unstilled urge." Thank heaven, Sigmund Freud was spared knowing the concentration camps from the inside. His subjects lay on a couch designed in the plush style of Victorian culture, not in the filth of Auschwitz. There, the "individual differences" did not "blur" but, on the contrary, people became more different; people unmasked themselves, both the swine and the saints.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning
Though arguably certain situations and realities are recognized to cause certain reactions in sets of humans.
Though I 'still think sets of humans might vary greatly.
. . .
The 'right to know crosses my mind,
But we do not burden a child with every piece of knowledge,
We shepherd them away, though they often learn of the knowledge later in life.
. . . but not 'all knowledge,
My knowledge of murder is not firsthand, it is of video games and news articles.
I do not 'seek that firsthand knowledge,
Not all knowledge is a 'right or expectation.
But murder is often considered infringement.
. . .
I do not seek self harm knowledge then. Well, junk food aside.
. . .
But it is arguably there if I would choose to seek it.

Had I a child, and the ability to shield them from such knowledge, I am not sure I would.
I've never watched The Truman Show (1998),
But I have heard of it.
I am not inclined to have a child,
But I've already argued a nonexistence cannot be better than an existence.
. . Or worse.
That is not to say someone who will live a terrible existence 'ought to have been created, perhaps they ought not have.
Yet I dislike regret.
I love myself and my existence, even terrible moments and memories are 'ME, and I would not have existed without them.
I embrace myself, my existence, I accept it.
. . . That is not to say I would 'repeat bad events, or I don't feel bad about bad events.
But I 'exist,
Doesn't seem right that a theoretical future person ought be created into a bad situation,
But people seem to vary on what they consider a bad situation in life. . . Hm, there are 'norms though, current standards, abilities, 'attempt at the best start one can 'manage for one's kid.
Even if into a bad life, if it is one's 'best try, people don't seem to mind having a kid into a bad situation.
. . . But norms exist.
. . . . . .

(Shrug), subjective.
I am curious of existence, I value knowledge and truth to a large degree.
But this is subjective.
I value freedom, but this is subjective.
Would I 'force knowledge of life and death upon another?
This is arguably different from preventing them from accessing such knowledge?

I don't know,
I find it a very thought provoking question.
I ate a bug in my sleep last night
So there is such thing as a free meal.
It’s more like free vitamins.
Its literally food coming into your mouth by itself so you can eat it.
God provides for everyone.
According to the biblical narrative in the Book of Exodus and Numbers, God did provide for the Israelites (often referred to as the "Jews" in later traditions) during their 40-year wandering in the wilderness
.
Here are the key details regarding how God "fed" and sustained them:
Reason for the 40-Year Wandering
The 40-year period was not because they were lost, but rather a judgment for their disobedience and lack of faith after they refused to enter the Promised Land, fearing the inhabitants of Canaan. The 40 years represented one year for each day the spies spent searching the land.
The generation that left Egypt was condemned to die in the wilderness, and only the new generation (along with Joshua and Caleb) was allowed to enter the Promised Land.
Nice thoughts again.
Bosnian currency has the strange name of Convertible Mark.
So why would you expect your father to leave you a "Dollar" based inheritance?
So why would you expect your father to leave you a "Dollar" based inheritance?
You are such a detective.
He read you like a book.
He has a very particular set of skills. Skills he has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for people like me. If I stop teasing him for being old, that will be the end of it. He wont look for me, he wont find me. But if I dont stop teasing him, he will look for me. He will find me. And he will expose me in another inconsistency because people from Bosnia cant talk about dollars.
In summary, people from Bosnia can and do talk about dollars in a personal or financial context, but it is not a functional currency in their daily lives.
Well, you're not hard to find Lucy.
And "teasing" me about my age is all a part of the game and doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Nonetheless, perhaps it's about time you came clean and told us about the real person behind the charade.
Nonetheless, perhaps it's about time you came clean and told us about the real person behind the charade
This is obviously all a plot to mess with your old brain.
Knowing the real person behind your charade could mess his old brain even more, if that is your intention.
Nah.
DebateCraft is a temporary distraction and a useful mental exercise.
Just what the character referred to as SatanLucy actually get's up to, has no greater significance outside the confines of that said distraction and mental exercise.
To be fair, SatanLucy is a prolific poster and therefore a good source of mental entertainment.
You are also prolific but rely heavily upon AI, which is not as entertaining but is nonetheless informative.
Though I must stress that I do not think that a true AI is yet a reality...Rather, just copying and pasting from an improved data storage source.
When you are told to fu*k off and stop being a nuisance, is when you will know that said data source is making it's own decisions.
