The Tory was a fascinating person in American history. They trusted the hierarchy. They trusted centralized power. They trusted the system. They believed that the system was smarter than the people living under it. They endured abuse because they saw social compliance as a social virtue. They believed the system was wise, benevolent, and self-justifying, and above all, they feared disruption more than mediocrity.

They saw George Washington as an unhinged, wannabe dictator. β€œA pretender to greatness,”

β€œa proto-Caesar,” β€œa tyrant bound to turn his sword upon his own people,” β€œa deluded malcontent convinced he is the savior of America,” and a β€œdangerous egotist who’ll plunge the colonies into chaos.”

Without slapping labels or naming names. Analyze the mindset and the behaviors. The fear of change. The fear of freedom. A sort of political Stockholm syndrome, if you will.

They say history never repeats itself. Americans, is it rhyming today?

He was a lot of those things. Real dirty psychopath for blacks and natives.

Oh well. Whitewash history.

Btw Tories are right wing just not far right. UK still has them (but they are losing now?

The US is a definitively secular nation, founded on complete separation of the State and religion. The Left Wing of US realise this but don't realise that pure freedom requires as low tax and free access to guns as possible. The Right Wing of US don't realise that secular pure freedom means the LGBTQ+ and abortion agendas both end up in line with US's liberty-first ethos.

It is left-wing to be pro-life. You are backing poor babies being born at the inconvenience of the already-born. Go figure.

You don't have to be any wing to trust the hierarchy of centralized power. Just an establishment supporter.

Yup. And they still want us to follow the ways of Britain.

But Britain can take their woke garbage, their endless migration, their censorship, and shove it all up their asses.

I wonder if the modern tories would still be tories if they lived in Britain. Probably. By living in Britain, you get a 30% decrease in testosterone. Some Brits are so scared of their government, that they change their beliefs, even in the most secluded of spaces.

I am fully convinced the recent trend of unfettered migration is a last ditch effort for those in power all over the world to reconstitute a serf class, easy to rule and dominate. Modern feudalism. Cutting the government isn't an option for the privileged managerial class. Economic decay with the existing population also isn't an option. Reconstituting a serf class is the remaining option.

Edit post

#6 β€’β€’β€’

There is no official "serf class" in America

, as serfdom was a medieval system that never existed in the United States. However, the term "serf" is sometimes used metaphorically to describe people in modern America who are considered to be in a state of severe exploitation or bondage, such as workers with extremely low pay and unstable schedules, or those caught in debt bondage or other forms of modern slavery.

America literally founded itself on invasive migration. All the founding fathers are non indigenous.

Yes, the individuals traditionally identified as the

Founding Fathers of the United States were all of European descent, primarily British, and none were Indigenous Americans

Exploited labor in the north of the States ended around 1950 when the Irish and Italians gained equality, and in 1965 in the South. Only recently has that exploitable labor class been reconstituted.

All of the indigenous of history worldwide were invasive migrants at some point as well. America has mostly soil born inhabitants currently. Somewhere around 85%

We have fossils dating ~13,000–14,000 years old. Jebel Sahaba (Sudan), dozens of skeletons show embedded stone points, broken bones, defensive wounds, and repeated raids. A classic resource-pressure conflict near the shrinking Nile corridor at the end of the Ice Age around that historical period. I'm sure that type of conflict and invasion went on before these recorded fossils as well.

Fossils don't lie.

You are the right wing version of lying deceivers of the left.

One minute you say immigration is wrong when it isnt the natives. The next you say it's fine when its brute force invasion because your gaslit nonsense makes it so that ice age migration is somehow the same as what the caucaisn thugs did to natives and blacks in America's brutal, depraved history.

I don't really care about immigration in general. I care about the artificial creation of an exploitable class using targeted policies to bring in the most exploitable people to keep the old guards in power. It's a worldwide thing happening in Canada as well.

And yet, you are fine with the current exploitation in America and elsewhere. What "wing" does that make you then?

America wasn't founded on invading and displacing. It was founded on the exploitation of classes.

The "wing" that trusts your government actively bringing in an exploitable class.

Clearly, you are a Tory as I described in the OP. You are literally repeating the lies of the established system.

The real dividing line is which β€˜wing’ trusts a government that is actively importing a new exploitable class. And that’s exactly what a Tory mindset is. Trusting the system, trusting authority, trusting the established order, even when it’s the one creating the exploitation you seemingly claim to oppose.

That is why book banning in necessary in America because people there read all kinds of crap about their country.

Edit post

#20 β€’β€’β€’

This isn't really accurate. Most tories had commercial interests tied to GB so independence would economically hurt them. It was a lot less principled in reality. Gaelic Irish in North Carolina for instance believed that the King would protect the language more than anglo saxon supremacists like Thomas Jefferson.

@Dr.Franklin

The King rewarded loyalty, much in the same way the modern U.S. government keeps PBS, NPR, and countless bureaucratic institutions fed with reliable grants. A TOry settles for the guaranteed crumbs from the royal table rather than risk the uncertainty of the open frontier where the payoff could be far larger from the fat of the land. Tories choose predictability over possible prosperity. Stability over agency. Submission over autonomy.

That's the Tory mindset. It's fear over hope.

Same old same old in the UK.

Labour reigned for a while, found there was no quick fix, or any fix, to the unrequited whimsies of the masses.

Tories had a go after that, and now we have labour again who are rapidly running out of steam and favour again.

Though the differences between Labour and Tory are not particularly obvious these days.

Who will they vote for next?

The perception that "Americans don't read" is a misconception;

book bans are a response to specific content concerns, often focused on what is deemed age-inappropriate, rather than a general dislike of reading. Book challenges are frequently driven by groups advocating for parental control over what children are exposed to in schools and libraries, particularly concerning topics like race, gender identity, and sexuality. These efforts are an attempt to control information and promote particular viewpoints, even if the general population isn't reading widely.
