"When the American empire finally collapses, historians won’t be stunned by the greed of the elite; They’ll be stunned by the loyalty of the poor. The working class didn’t just vote against their own interests. They worshipped the billionaires robbing them. They slashed their own benefits, gutted their own healthcare, and cheered while the rich wrote off private jets as tax deductions. Not because it helped them. But because they were told it would hurt someone else."

Canadians are stunned at the obesity and general ingratitude of the USA poor.

Oh, like your poor sealclap when rich jetsetters talk about "stolen people, stolen land"

It's surprising what the rich in the USA can get away with if they walk like an Egyptian with the most mesmerizing hand gestures....

USA is the most successful nation in history. the only problem is that the people are retarded. If in 2024, they elected Kamala, Putin would lose in Ukraine, Palestine would be saved, and economy would be slightly worse.

But people chose slightly better economy over morality, and now they suddenly regret it, as if they didnt know in 2024 that thats exactly what they were voting for.

And I dont even know how out of 340 million people, choices end up being Kamala and trump.

Like, wasnt there anyone better? How the hell are these the best choices?

Also, USA wont collapse. Maybe trump will be removed from power, but USA isnt going to collapse. It will transform. After people get punched in face enough times, they start to learn. Its called trial and error.

Sounds about right, Kamala absolutely would start a global war with Russia over the Ukraine civil war and also save Hamas through favorable Iranian deals, all for the sake of vibes. She would sell it with Venn diagrams to all her seal-clappers. And also lie about it all effortlessly if the seal-clapping slows, as she did about "the most secure border in American history."

All things considered America would be in a better place under Kamala than Trump.

Thing is, American History is brief when compared to other national histories.

And how one defines success by attribute, would depend largely upon the nature of the attribute and also the opinion of the observer.

Though I would suggest that the US has been a dominant global power for not much more than 150 years...If that.

US success was founded upon millennia of previous European and Middle Eastern success...Not forgetting that Middle Eastern success also spread eastwards too.

So your claim is grossly exaggerated and poorly thought out...And really only applicable to Post WW2 events...Which is only a mere 80 years of history.

And some might argue that currently in terms of intellectual and technological development the Far East is successfully competing, if not outrunning the US.

@SergeantLynch

America began to dominate after World War II when Europe was decimated and China still recovering from Communism. America was the only superpower after that period. Now we have many superpowers.

@Debby, @SatanLucy

Yes that is correct Debs.

You see Lucy, the USA had a very brief spell of unparalleled success.

What argument could you possibly offer to suggest that Kamala’s economy would have been worse? Everything Trump has done has shown itself to be a complete disaster?

His tariff policies have not only raised prices, it’s totally destabilized investment into the United States. He’s alienated all of our trading partners to the point they’re now turning to China to do business. And he’s single handily destroyed the tourism market into the United States. Please enlighten me…

The working class didn’t just vote against their own interests.

Let's stop pretending that workers have "class" interests. They have personal interests. Hence why labor unions pushed for Chinese Exclusion Act when it was seen as in their interest.

They worshipped the billionaires robbing them

Almost every faction hates some rich people and loves others. Everyone knows "the rich" doesn't include whatever influencer is telling you to hate the rich.

They cheered while the rich wrote off private jets as tax deductions.

I don't think a significant number of poor people are cheering for this, presuming the jet is being used for personal use, which is what you're implying. If something is used for business, then it can be calculated as a business expense. Jets aren't special in this regard. The law probably gets abused, but I don't know who is cheering for tax abuse besides the tax abusers themselves.

Climate related disasters cost America 182.7 billion annually as recorded in 2024 and expected to grow.

Trump is heavily invested in crypto currency and will not be effected by climate change .

Inflation is the same now as it was in Biden last month

Not possible. The Trump tariffs are raising the cost of all imports and that is inflationary.

What matters is total inflation, not some cherry picked month. Average inflation during Biden was way higher than during trump.

It has definitely contributed to price increases, but that doesn’t mean inflation hasn’t remained largely flat. It means without these tariffs inflation would likely have decreased noticeably.

That is likely to change however. companies have largely absorbed much of these tariffs although finding other ways to lower costs, like layoffs for example. But that was a short term reaction to a market that has grown extremely insensitive to price hikes. But they can only absorb those costs for so long, and many companies are telling us flat out we’re going to see further price hikes because of them.

It’s not cherry picking, it’s how inflation works.

No, you absolutely do not look at total inflation over a given period, especially when that period included a sharp and significant increase during a very specific period for a very specific reason, and especially especially when that reason is the result of a global condition.

The conditions that caused inflation had little to nothing to do with the Biden administration and had already passed long before the 2024 election. That’s why you look at what it was by the end of his term and note that nothing Trump has done has changed the situation, except probably made it worse.

Inflation happened during Biden. But sure, blame someone else for that 15% inflation.

No, in fact, trump had lower inflation than Biden did.

For instance, the inflation rate in 2024 was 2.9%. Meanwhile, the "Ave" column shows the average inflation rate for each year using CPI data. In 2023, the average inflation rate was 4.1%.

The Consumer Price Index for all items rose 2.7 percent from December 2024 to December 2025

Yeah, keep pretending that somehow worse overall inflation is better.

Edit post

#28 •••

The annual inflation rate in the US slowed to 2.4% in January 2026, its lowest level since May, down from 2.7% in each of the previous two months and below forecasts of 2.5%. The deceleration largely reflects base effects, as higher readings from a year ago drop out of the annual calculation.

Inflation reflects economic trends and circumstances. If you are concerned about inflation moving forward, which is kind of the point of holding elections - to look forward - then you don’t look at what those trends were years ago. You look at where they are heading at the time of your vote.

If on the other hand you’re going to use it as a metric to judge a president’s performance, then you would need to be able to point to what the president actually did to cause it, which will be pretty hard to do since inflation was a global phenomenon. I look forward to your in depth analysis there.

Inflation happened during Biden. But sure, blame someone else for that 15% inflation.

Right, that’s the kind of in depth analysis I should be expecting; ‘Biden president, inflation bad, therefore Biden bad’.

But since this is your metric, tell me about unemployment in Trump’s first term. Curious to how you assess it since we saw the largest unemployment increase in our lifetimes during his final year.
