As of now, all the analysts are advising that scalating the war in Iran would be the biggest mistake for America. It's evident that there is no benefit for the US to engage in this war, except for Israel that wants to expand their territory. I understand that the jews have a strong influence on America but not to this level. We don't even know who's the boss.

Damn it. I was really excited about what Trump has been acomplishing so far, specially for what he is doing in Latinamerica, but if he doesn't keep his promise of not making war any more I think this would be the end of MAGA. Trump was really an example of how to fight against progressivism and the woke culture, I don't know what we would do without a figure like him.

I hope he puts the jews away and starts making good decisions for the good of all America, but if he decides to go on, he will become the useful idiot of zionists.

Yes. Maybe you can't see it because you're used to the shitty wokism that has been implemented all over Europe, but in America we're not used to it. We are actually fed up with politicians that spend our money to finance sex changes or try to impose a new fkn language that they call inclusive.

And most importantly, Trump is ending socialism in all the continent, not just beating Venezuela but also Cuba which is the root of all the problems in Latinamerica and the United States. So, it's not small thing.

Worse than Epstein.

I don't know if that it's true but from what I know, Epstein was very likely a spy of the Mossad.

Right now, the number one enemy of the United States is Israel and the zionists. According to some pandits, Israel has gathered compromising information from important people in the United States and Europe so that they can use it to their advantage. Almost the same modus operandi of Russians.

I've said it once, the zionists and the jews in general are untrustable. It's good that people have self confidence but the level of self confidence in the jews is unhealthy and perverse, they can have the same mentality as nazis. Maybe the zionists have Trump by the balls with some information about Epstein. We don't know.

Trump is woke in the sense that he contributing to the complete ending of old societal norms. Low-brow insults are now standard. Transgenderism is page 1 politics guy. And no interfering in Latin America doesnt stop "socialism" whatever that means nowadays.

Every president since Carter, who effectively winked, then blinked, at Iran's rise to an ill-gotten power, willed that Iran's nuclear ambitions be quelled, but only Trump had the balls to do it.

Hey Misterio...The best way to "face" alternative cultures is to treat them as not American...America, the gun ravaged, second largest, self righteous hoarder of nuclear warheads, led by a megalomaniacal nut job.

Haha...Go sort out Russia...No...Playground bullies never mess with the big boys...Trump just wants to bully the little guys in to handing over their sweeties...Which was what he did in Venezuela.

So let's see a few hundred bodies lined up on the tarmac draped in Old Glory and take things from there.

Around 20% of Iranians are in favour of that regime, so these fucking radical people that don't have self esteem are 18 millions. I don't know why it is that, maybe it's nature's whim to always create 20% of retarded that complicate our lives . In Venezuela is the same, 20% of fkn idiots in favour of a miserable life. I mean, they are not majority but are enough stupid, violent and extreme to take over a whole country.

On the other side, Trump is planning on invading Iran, it's the only way to beat these goat fuckers. That's why I say it's a bad idea to occupy Iran because this regime has been waiting this moment for 50 years. They are ready and the US not.

I am not criticizing Iranians for how they live. They can do with their lives whatever they want. I'm just warning what would happen if the West let these mother fuckers go on with their stupid religious plan to destroy the West. These people only think in religous wars.

I wouldn't mind if they wipe Israel out of this world to be honest, but I'm really worry about what they can do with the rest of the world. You must know a little bit about history, that in the Middle Ages the muslims expanded over all north Africa, even occupying part of Spain. So, yes, Iran is a danger for Europe and America.

Haha...Go sort out Russia...No...Playground bullies never mess with the big boys...Trump just wants to bully the little guys in to handing over their sweeties...Which was what he did in Venezuela

Bullying? Dude, Iran is not a "little guy", it's a regional power in the middle east along with Israel. Nobody dares to mess up with Iran. Can you imagine if they got nuclear bombs? No surprise all the apocalytic prophecies point to those goat fuckers as the initiators of the end of the world.

Trump got too much overconfident. If he doesn't realize about his mistake, the US will pay the consequences.

trump is literally worse than rapist. He is rapist, but also now a mass murderer who made world worse for everyone, even his allies. He is insane old man, who is losing war against Iran economically, spending dozens of billions to bomb some civilian houses in Iran, and now even his allies abandoned him, and Americans are rising up against him because he is making them poorer as well. Its over for him. this is his end. He is either spending his life in prison after this, or Americans get so angry and even hang him without trial.

And why Trump is sending thousands of marines to the Middle East? To make a party?

The best battle the US can give is the guerrilla warfare. Sending costly armament is useless today.

Trump is sending marines to the Middle East [specifically to Strait of Hormuz] to protect commercial ships carrying oil specifically to Europe because Europe refuses to participate in the defense of their products. We don't need oil through the Strait, but Europe desperately needs it. Trump is shaming Europe for their refusal to protect their own product. There will be much due from Europe to the US come the time to demand it from them, or Trump may just wash his hands of NATO, and goodbye, NATO. We don't need NATO; Europe does, and our bill to them will come due for our protrection of their chicken shit cowardice. Neither Oba'a nor Biden, nor any other current flippant Demo would or will do that. They think like Europe, admire Europe more than ourselves. Who needs them? Any of them?

All the same, it's a terrible error to send soldiers to the Middle East. I mean, it's unnecesary, the US don't need to get involved in a useless war that only benefits the nazi jews. Trump will pay it politically, and that's not good for those who support the fight against progressivism, like me.

Though you are saying truth, the US is acting right now as the US that invaded Vietnam, or even worse. According to some seers, the energy crisis will get worse and there will be a social crisis in the US because of that.

All depends on Trump. Hope he can see it more clearly.

In all honesty (partisan circle jerking aside), this could doom us if China decided to take advantage of this crisis. We're tied down in the Middle East and it'll take a little while to replenish our stockpiles of high-end weapons.

If they don't, and assuming the regime actually comes down, then any future WW3 will happen between us and two rival great powers, not three. If the IR is still around for such a war then it'll do the same thing it's doing now, which is closing the Strait of Hormuz (and the Red Sea via its Houthi proxies) and cutting off the flow of Gulf oil to US and allied nations, and forcing us to divert desperately needed troops from other theaters of the war to fight them. It's also worth noting that one of two major arteries of China's Belt and Road Initiative linking China with Western Eurasia flows through Iran.

I think it's fair to say we will know in 3 years' time whether or not this was worth it (for us; Iran's 90+ million inhabitants are a separate question).

Think again. Hitler made that very same mistake of assessment of our speed of manuifactruring in the 40s, and we've learned a bit since then. Some of us, anyway. Since I was born at th3e end of that decade, I actually seen quite a bit of learning since then. Try it, sometime.

The one problem youth has that it may never solve is that it has nothing to compensate for lack of experience. Now that I have it to a greater degree that anyone born in this century [and there are sure many more like me; I am not alone] is the sad experience of that fact, and pity is useless because that fact is not going to change. You can absorb social media to your heart's content, but social media is not life on the road because that only comes by personal experience; it cannot be vicarious because your mind lives in an eternity of present, which is fleeting. Experience is past, and in many ways, the only map you're ever going to have to know what to do with tomorrow.

Hell, many of the youth are alarmingly illiterate.

Egads man, go look up the definition of the word marine, it is "of, found in, or produced by the sea." The US Marines primarily function as an amphibious force-in-readiness, providing a rapid-response combat force for maritime and expeditionary warfare. OORAH!

I would prefer that we had not entered into this conflict with Iran,

But in terms of function, it is 'potentially fine.

I think a military and country can be made stronger by war,

We engage in a conflict, see our capabilities and our enemies capabilities.

By said conflict we are able to restructure our military to be more efficient.

From what I recall reading,

Many countries and America itself, found the military performance of the Union and the Confederacy embarrassing at the 'start.

But our military capabilities were improved by the conflict.

WW1 and WW2, led to 'great strides in military technology, tactics, and strategy.

There 'is the potential of America overstraining itself in conflict,

But same applies to exercising the body. Same applies for exercising the mind.

. . .

Iran recently killed a bunch of it's civilians for protesting,

At an uneducated glance, it doesn't seem to me that they had what it takes to effect a regime change.

I think it's 'unlikely we will achieve a regime change in the short term,

But America is killing a 'lot of leaders in Iran,

Potential exists for more favorable leaders to America, or infighting that weakens Iran.

Are we 'really going to get 'worse leaders for us in Iran, a country frequently shouting death to America the Great Satan?

(Shrug)

'Maybe, but they've 'already been using proxies, putting bounties on America soldiers before this current conflict.

Maybe change in Iran takes 10 or 20 years, (Shrug)

Took a while for USSR to fall after WW2.

Doesn't mean American efforts such as Berlin Blockade were without use.

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

'Potential downsides exist I admit,

If the draft got reintroduced, if this conflict drags on for years, if China takes Taiwan right now.

. . . But 'some roads, such as China moving for Taiwan, may be inevitable.

So should America be 'inactive or 'proactive?

Let 'others set the board?

(Shrug) Maybe Iran conflict is bad, maybe not.

Too early for me to tell.

I'm refering specifically to this war. Iran has no troops in the sea, so who are these marines going to fight against? It's obvious they'll go in.

Besides, two US fighter jets were taken down in Iranian ground. What were these jets doing in Iran? It's obvious they were doing recognition before doing an invasion.

While 'marine' is semantically associated with the sea, the marines' role are not on the sea but on the ground. They use the sea, or even the air, as a path to reach their objective. So, the marines sent to Iran are for taking over a territory (or an Island as it seems to be in this case).

This explanation is also for @fauxlaw.
