This was actuall foreshadowijg to the way the Qur'an handled forging scripture and deeming itself Abrahamic. Bible does not deny OT is still word of God but many Christians think in a NT-only Marcionite way. These Christians are violating that commandment but if their own pastors/priests/ministers guided the flock to do that, they may have the invincible ignorance excuse.

Why the Bible should not be altered. Not a word should be changed or added.

Altering the text can lead to false religion and doctrinal error.
