Neptune is 30 times farther from the sun than Earth. If the sun starts expanding, it will melt all the existing planets before it warms Neptune. What do you have against Earth and the other planets?

Well gas giants are uninhabitable, though their moons might be. And Mars would be only a temporary haven as the Sun expands
It is thought that Neptune's moon Triton might become habitable as the Sun expands, relative to it's proximity and it's geology.
Should the sun start expanding. It will increase its gravitational pull on planets drawing it closer and exposing it to greater surface heat. It will even make them more inhabitable.
