Not sure with who, because it was hard enough to hit 9 players as is, and for reasons I cannot discuss I cannot replace dead players into this game. I will ping him again though.
why would Luna not be able to replace a dead mafia with an innactive mafia. Casey dies and there is 2 mafia after the recruit. There is 0 reason mafia can’t replace mafia. Mafia can’t replace town because they would know who mafia is

Thoth or Casey knowing is scum is (say Thoth asked) is irrelevant. Unless they were both told the full set up after they died or somrthing. But I’m assuming Casey would not ask that. If you die as scum you typically can keep talking in the scum you pm (at least I allow it) so why would they ask and lose their ability to contribute. My point being is that Casey should be able to replace supa is he’s scum

ref bothers me. I think the entire table is in agreement with pie that we need to mass claim due to the recruit and the resistance is largely pointless at this stage. It’s either because he is softing a power role which is totally obvious to mafia at this point with the refusal to claim or he could be scum and the one who started as scum and is scared to claim in general due to being caught out with his role.
I don't love that he's doing that. I've been townreading him behaviorally, but the amount of time he's burning by not cooperating is making me second guess that, since it's just anti-town at this point and it's clear he does have something worth hiding already.

i also think supa is likely town with that role. The role exists prob to make sure all 4 robots, synethics, whatever all claimed and didn’t fake claim. Leads me to think the starting scum was between one of those 4
I agree with what you said earlier about Supa and REF not being a scum team and neither of them likely being a recruit, so I guess by default, the recruit is very likely between the remaining 5 players. I haven't written off Wryly yet, though I don't think she's among the likelier choices in that set being relatively new to the game. That sets it as Mikal, me, Pie, and David as plausible recruits.
if we do this we all need to pick a time. I don’t think drawing or popcorn is useful as if ref is refusing due to being caught out . Being on the backend will only give them an edge.

I am really not following the logic. Casey is scum and replaces another scum they just get hyper lynched again because everyone knows they're scum.
Town can replace into scum (as I did in your game) but I don't see scum being able to replace into a game as any alignment.

That’s actually true. Didn’t walk that through. They could replace but by replacing they die.
them using that np1 and not later in the game is telling. They either immediately wanted to use it to gain an experienced player or you but they could cause a lot more chaos if it was later. The only thing that was open dp1 was your claim.
but I do think it’s between you pie or wf. I get stuck on you because I don’t see why else they would sacrifice that np1. Even if they wanted to recruit someone that is experienced. Doing it later in the game just to reset the game makes so much more sense.
I don't get this take. Using a Yakuza as early as possible makes sense because, regardless of when you use it, you throw the game into chaos. It also means you don't have to figure out a fake claim for one member of your scum team.

Casey was not very active last DP. It makes sense for them to use in on NP1. Also I think this also clears a lot of the folks who were and have been rather inactive.

I don't love the logic because inactivity shouldn't clear anyone. I don't know if I read it as TMI so much as an effort to try to dismiss possible recruits. Especially given that there were only two full claims on the table last DP, it's entirely possible that scum recruited someone who was relatively inactive, I just don't think that someone would be Vader for reasons I've already mentioned.

That does strongly suggest that Vader is town. Might be something else in the setup that stands in the way of Casey returning to the game, but it's plausible.

I can see the value in waiting, but there's clearly a lot of risk to waiting as well, particularly with a player who was largely inactive during the last DP and would almost certainly have been the center of attention this DP.

Yeah, that's a good point. For some reason, I assumed it would only be Casey replacing and didn't consider Thoth. Not sure what prevents one of them from subbing in, but it doesn't give Vader the cover I believed it did.
