Hesitant to say Mikal is lock town based on his extensive theme knowledge but it all looks really good. Very close to lock town.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood, but I'm not saying Mikal looks good for having theme knowledge. The fact that he was the first to out so much information about himself, in an effort solve for a split is what I'd expect town Mikal here, since he really does know so much about the theme. At the same time, that theme knowledge means he can pull off some crazy gambits, which means his outing of info so early doesn't outright confirm him. But he looks very good for it nonetheless and the fact that he can pull something crazy doesn't mean it's likely. I consider it very unlikely.

The other factor here is that basically everyone has confirmed his proposed split.

He basically just seconds everything Mikal said, and adds a little bit of his own. Technically possible that he's working with scum but the fact he believes it's a town lock so quickly tells me he feels he has a solid town bloc with Mikal, indicating he's picked up on the idea that Mikal knows basically all about him and that Kohai thinks his role PM is obvious enough to the point where Mikal can get it right that easily, meaning to me that there's likely a genuine role pm behind it all. I don't think it's likely they're working together to stream roll town, I think they'd be linking each other way too strongly.

I do however, think his scumread of me is retarded. "Throwing shade" at Wylted is not all I had done at that point, and I had a brief tinfoil that he might be working with Wylted (which is why the amount of scum to start the game matters btw). But I think the evidence points that he's town and just getting things wrong.

There's also the whole "Tir is town" thing. I kinda think the scum incentive is just to never disagree with Mikal on that, and it means he's outed even more about himself than Mikal did in Post #86.

I think the only tinfoil possibility here is that Kohai and Mikal are scum together and I don't think that's likely at all.

Maybe whiteflame and/or Rex poorly worded the fact that their character is loyal to the Empire now, i.e., at the cross-section in time our roles are based off of, and his membership in the New State Army is "current" as of the most recent canon. How far does the canon Suikoden timeline extend?

I can see a scenario where WF comes home tired from work, is asked to claim Toran/Scarlet, sees nothing to that effect in his PM, and reads from the wiki. I don't want to jump the gun here. The major point for me is that scum would be crazy to claim Toran affiliation. You've just pointed out an Empire character he could've fake claimed instead. I was actually interested in playing this role, figured I could have some fun with it if I was able to align myself with town by killing a scumread target this DP. Don't suspect it will play out that way, but tbf, I'd probably be hesitant to trust a claimed TP Survivor even if they did kill a scum target. Don't think I was ever getting out of claiming, though, and even my fake claim was auto-scumread.

Why would he be scared to say that and have someone interfere with it if he’s worried about it being bulletproof prof. A bullet proof doesn’t make the role useless which is what he was claiming
