Anyway, all I did this DP was vote Kohai, then unvote. Idk what else could trigger the hidden ability. I'm going to assume Kohai has a hidden ability to do with voting/unvoting him.

Let’s just say I have very strong feeling that claiming character is part of anti claim and the forced outing of your character counts as a character reveal. That said I’m really emphasizing no more claims or soft claims.

I feel like that reveal is more likely than not confirming Mharman as town IMO. Just don’t think there’s a mechanic town would have to do that or why they would do that and if anything is something scum would trigger onto someone. Not saying this is the case but when you look at different probabilities it’s more likely than not Magic is town cuz if that

Madoka Magica is a mahou shoujo (magical girl) series about a group of middle school students who are approached by an effectively immortal Pokémon-looking creature called Kyuubey. He offers to grant their wishes and turn them into magical girls to fight creatures called witches that create their own little pocket dimensions where the animation gets crazy. I'll avoid spoilers unless necessary, but the long and short of it is that this isn't a sweetheart deal and, unlike most magical girl series, shit gets fucked up pretty fast and often. It's a story about obsession, sacrifice, and regularly rides the line between hope and despair. Yep, pretty upbeat.

I agree with Vader’s analysis that Mharman is likely town. If scum were given fake claims, it doesn’t make sense for their claim to be revealed like that.

On a side note, I hate the whole hidden mechanics stuff. It’s impossible for either side to skillfully play around it. Basically makes the game luck base

It seemed a bit weird that Kohai got pressured so early with only 15 posts so far. I wouldn’t go far as to guarantee that someone on that is scum but definetly a bit weird. Don’t think I’m reading too hard into it cuz it’s probably just Rvs with no thought but it is a bit weird

Tbh, I feel like the TMI behavior from Kohai is kind of a town tell IMO. I’ve noticed that he tends to give away slight clues about his character way too early into the game causing scum to pick up on it and if he’s important enough, to target him into the night. I haven’t seen him do it as scum but IMO slight town read because of that

Looking into the RVS of Kohai, it’s really hard to even say that there is a guaranteed scum in that pile. Maybe Rex based on previous experiences and games with them??? Not really sure. Casey hasn’t played a full game in a while and I don’t think they’re pushing Kohai to L-2 at that point since their behavior tends for them to air on the side of caution as scum but it’s been a while since I played with them

Right now what I have stated is my only reads at the moment.

Not sure about everyone else. Obviously Whiteflame gives an advantage from a theme perspective but other than that there is no way to truly read him besides true behaviors and Wiki comparisons. This isnt even me scumreading him but when im really not aware of theme and its one person controlling theme convos I always have my eyes open

I'd be cautious about leaning too hard on this sort of analysis. It's not all too uncommon for protagonists to be scum - hell, I made the main two characters of Deltarune the scum team in my game. Granted, I'd agree that he's more likely town than scum, but I'd still only put him in lean town at best based on his character.

I’m less focused on the fact that he’s the MC and more on the combination of that fact with the mechanic. I don’t see it as terribly likely that Thoth would give Mag1c a character that solid and then use a hidden mechanic to reveal that he has her. It just seems exceedingly weird for scum.

I wanted to draw attention to the fact that the OP says that, if you have a hidden mechanic, you will be informed of it in your character card. I assume you were? I also figured it would be a detail I could provide with no risk that wouldn’t trigger anti-claim mechanics.

I am townreading Kohai, but then I always townread Kohai, just like I always scumread Mikal. I know nothing about this theme and have no idea what the split would be if Madoka turned out to be scum, so for the moment I'm leaning town on Mag1c.
