Didn't notice that. That flavor text probably means that the recruit carried out the NK, since they would have become a magical girl upon accepting the contract.

I'm unclear, does this change the game? I'm familiar with Kriemhild Gretchen being Madoka's witch form (it comes up in at least one of Homura's time loops), but is this just flavor or does this signify some extra power for scum?

I think the confirmation from Mikal about the second visit gives him mechanical support for his claim and I think his frustration towards me last DP came off as townie. The redirect could be real and he could still be scum anyway, so it’s mainly about the behavioral read, and I still lean town on that even if it’s not that strong.
