I thought a lot of Day 2 was trying to leave me open for a lynch without fully committing to it, and I thought it would make sense if the person who was defending Shining (at least somewhat) was paired with a person who was pushing Shining.

+ Despite having you in scum for decent chunk of D2 I don't believe Vader really pressured you which I thought could have been paired. Maybe I misremember.

TLDR I thought you were scum and made a Rex/Vader pairing fit together by seeing some things that looked odd.

Idk. Pie was the only one pushing you in DP3 when Imo you were locked because of Wryly flip. That would've drawn me the wrong way for sure but I see it. There some flaws with the reasoning but it’s not crazy

That wasn't really pushing me, was it? He called it an "outside shot" and didn't pursue it. Though that was mainly because of Rex pushing him instead.

Oh, there was one other point I had- by end of Day 2, the only real Watcher possibilities were Wryly and Vader, so I thought part of the reason why Wryly was killed was because Vader was scum, so they would've already known for certain.

But that's also just explained by Wryly being essentially locked as Town, so.

It's a classic case of overthinking. Maybe I'm old-school, but when somebody comes out with a last-minute hider claim, says that they waived both nights, and just lead the mislynch of the only claimed protective role, with said protective role screaming at the top of their lungs that the player in question was scum as it happened, you lynch them. People think way too much about mafia sometimes to convince themselves that the thing staring them right in the face isn't real. Nine times out of ten, when someone being scum seems obvious, it's because they're scum. And you'll feel a lot less worse getting it wrong that 1/10 times than you will if you twist yourself into pretzels to see some newfangled angle to the game.

It was bad from a manipulative standpoint, not from an objective standpoint. After all, I knew you were scum before anyone else because that lynch was so off and, to be frank, stupid. This was the first time I was sure you were scum early on in the game because the arguments were, imo, not at your normal level if that makes sense. I was actually going to try to lead a lynch on you that DP but it's Christmas and shit happened.

The problem then becomes how to make all the people who voted to kill him realize how scummy it was and that you were leading it. That's a tall order - people have a natural aversion to admitting they were wrong, preferring to dig their heels in. They'll color their worldview in a way that washes out their own defects.
