I did say my own thoughts were conflicting so, no, I'm not going to always be consistent with my previous thoughts. I'd still consider her a more minor character than others, but your point about the softs actually made me think of it. Considering the top characters in each of the other categories were known entities going into this DP (Banana had claimed Tartt and Wylted flipped Mrs. Welton), Flo might have looked pretty appetizing if you were looking for a prominent fake claim at this point. I balance that against Wryly's character, who came from the bottom of his list and could very well have appeared relatively safe at the time. It does stand as weird that Wryly, who knew no one else beyond her and Banana could be a footballer, wouldn't have chosen Roy Kent as the much more obvious fake claim, but I'm still digging back into her behaviorally. Regardless, I could see room to argue that neither of you behaved optimally for scum crafting a fake claim.

I doubt he would want to go that far, and regardless, I wouldn't have cared if he encouraged it. If I'm his teammate, I'm not hard-bussing him like that. There's distance, and then there's getting your own teammate lynched. At the time of my first vote on him, I had the choice to pressure him or Wylted. I felt he was scummier than Wylted.

Yes, this is something I'm taking into consideration, though I can't help but be a little skeptical of the argument given my history with Shining and bussing. It's in your favor, just a question of how much.

So here's my read of Wryly from DP2. I forgot about a few of these points. Asking questions is fine, I still don't like continuing to press for claims after I hard rejected doing so.

I took the asking for a consensus as a further attempt to keep looking for info. I felt it had already been settled at that point

ok so we got a conundrum. basically 3 vanillas, 4 if you count me since im basicly vanila now 2. and an activist. town seems a bit powerless to me. obv one of the vanillas at least has to be telling the truth, but isnt it kind of odd 2 see that many of them? i think i was in one where there was two, including me once. dont remember the name of that game tho.

as for magic, he does seem town on his behavior i am hesitant to town read him for the shining lynch because he could have bussed, but idk it could have been real too.also from looking at his character wiki it seems like a big character, plus it is kind of mentioned in wylteds pm, so it is probably a real claim since we know maf werent given fakes.

and whiteflame, idk his character seems pretty legit too and like a major character in the series and is featured in all the seasons, but i dont have much in the way of behavior to town read him.

ngl wryly is kind of the standout here bcuz sam seems more minor than the other two, plus her role seems like its more of a scummy type role. why would a townie need take another persons vote?

also i can get behind a no lynch as long as there isnt any way for mafia to get a second kill, just to help narrow things down for one more dp

Shrug. I didn't. I think it's a legitimate stance that once a mass claim is started, it should be finished, otherwise it defeats the purpose, exposing info about town but potentially letting scum slip through the net. However when whiteflame brought up some valid points that we had a better target and if we were wrong you'd be soon to full claim next DP anyway, I acquiesced.

If I’m looking for a prominent fake claim I’m not taking from a list of mostly minor characters. I’m going straight for coaches or players; mods usually leave out a few major characters in these games.

And as do your history with Shining, does that encompassing one of you getting the other lynched DP1? Pretty sure it doesn’t, and my history with any teammate is to distance some, not full-on hard bus. Absolutely no reason to bus Shining DP1 when I could’ve gone for Wylted and bussed Shining DP2 or later, at least securing a mislynch there and getting use of his redirector.

I disagree with the mass claim idea but that’s a better explanation of things from your point of you. Hm.

the thing about Whiteflame is that he got quite a few small things that rub me the wrong way, and nothing that really sticks out to me as townie. He’s always harder to read and if I can call Wryly correctly he just gets POE’d out

The multitude of Vanillas is puzzling. So the there's a Cop, Universal Backup, Achilles, Cop, Activist, two Vanillas if either Mag1c or whiteflame is lying, and three Vanillas if Banana is lying (I don't think she is). Odd setup.

And why Kohai? I thought he was Informed Townie this whole time. Didn't seem like a high priority target.

Did you mistype something? I was a part of the Shining lynch from the start. Not taking sole credit here, but I could’ve gone for Wylted DP1 and I went for Shining instead, which proved to be correct.
