why would a scum role even tell you you lost favour, if said scum role was the reason for it, AND also tell you the identity of the person? isn’t that kinda pointless
as much as I hate these hypothetical scenarios that are very hard to get into because they’re not real,
if I was hypothetically scum, I do not think I would try so hard to save myself from you or from anyone, I would probably try to take one or two down with me, or use my night action opportunistically, and I don’t know why I would steal your favour specifically when you claimed Miller

I just can’t think someone this utterly convinced someone is scum ON DAY ONE is Town. especially since after I had that major freak out, he would say ridiculously scummy things like “we can afford a mislynch"
I realise my tone isn’t helping me, because I’m loud and I’m angry, but think about it, why would Town be so confident of a player’s alignment on D1, then backtrack and say “gee he’s probably Town but we can afford the mislynch”? it’s literally anticipating a Town flip (TMI) and also opportunistically trying to push a Lynch through at all cost

because if you’er gonna have an argument with a person you need to consider their entire argument and not just act like an edgy teenager trying to win a fight by nitpicking on literally their worst argument

I do not think it is the same alignment who performed these actions on me, now that you mention it. I assumed when I saw that message that it was Town who poisoned me (dumb but it makes sense), and that it was scum who disabled my Watcher. like... Town would probably disable role blocker or Vengeful first, no? no reason to disable Watcher as Town, looks scummy as hell to me
but, before I go off topic, yes, now that you mention it, it is very unlikely both these actions were performed by the same alignment, they’d have no reason to do it.
one thing I was thinking of last night is, why did scum receive exactly two fake claims? 8v3 seems balanced, 9v2 is kinda horrible for a scum team, especially seeing what Mikal’s role does when he dies (skips the next night).
it is possible that 8v3 is the situation we find ourselves in, the third scum cannot use any of the fake claims given to the scum team, and so they had to shut down the whole mass claim idea immediately (they also have to pick who claims what, so maybe they have a hard time doing it in a way. that their fake claim kinda “resembles” their actual role, in terms of what it does, who they would visit, etc
there’s also another possibility, which is what I was considering most heavily last night, that we are in a 8v2v1 world, mafia has one fake claim, SK has another fake claim, in which case perhaps the Mafia thought two things when I was pushed
1) I am Serial Killer
2) need to shut down mass claims instantly (1 - is less likely)
I think my reactions have been super towny. again if I was scum I would’ve just collapsed. I am terrible at defending myself regardless of alignment, but as Town I put in the effort and really, really try to defend myself. it’s much harder as scum because you sorta have to get past the whole “people are scumreading me and it’s 100% legit, maybe their arguments are somehow valid even if they sound like bullshit to me"
w.r.t Poisoner being announced, this is a question you can ask the host if Poison is publicly announced or not.
I just asked Rex, out of curiosity (since I know I received feedback I was poisoned), whether he would announce poison publicly, and he said he wouldn’t.
reason I asked him is because it’s technically possible someone faked a poison on me (seems more likely a Town would do that rather than a scum TBH)

Well, I got news for you all. I rolecop'd Mago last night. His consort role is odd night role, his noble consort is even night watcher, and his imperial consort is vengeful.

if it’s Town who poisoned me, it’s because they thought I was scum and didn’t want me to weasel out of a lynch. and they scumread me more than these players you just listed.
if it’s Scum who poisoned me, well... honestly no clue, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, just means I don’t know, although, again, the vanillaisation and poison almost certainly came from separate alignments. I suppose if a Serial Killer poisoned me, he probably thought I was scum, so it’s the same case as Town poisoning me.
this is a moot point anyway, if a Town poisoned me they should claim, like, now.
yes, this is literally my D1 claim, except I didn’t specify which was odd and even night (to be honest I just couldn’t remember it)
well, obviously it depends on the person but in my experience someone “having a backbone” and refusing to be lynched/not collapsing under pressure is town indicative.

yeah I’ll admit the fake claim was not the most inspired action. I do tend to lie a lot as Town, but I should’ve given the claim more thought instead of claiming Framer.

As much as I think we should have lynched Mago DP1, I am coming around to him being town.
Honestly, lynching Mago was the right play DP1 even if it was a mislynch.
banana I thought was scum because she town read me when everyone else was scum reading me and was a little too accurate in her description, 1) and after I claimed Framer didn’t look at anything else and just voted me. my gut read is that this is a scum who TMI’d me as Town but decided to drop it as not to get scum read for defending the scummiest claim in the game
Lunatic, I think is scum because he keeps finding reasons either why I’m scum or why I have to be lynched. and when he interrogated me, he would basically twist my answers and turn them into scummy ones
basically like 90% of the shit he did until I said I would insult him or some shit was to take every action I did and align it with scum
he also was IMO far too confident that I was scum, far too early on (and his arguments look... weird, in a scummy way to me): “if it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck”, it’s a scummy argument IMO
and the biggest tell is that he said it’s okay to mislynch a town :eyes: I have a friend who was very good at Mafia and that was literally his scum strategy. try to build up the idea that its okay to mislynch town because information or whatnot.
let’s not get started on how his arguments after I freaked out (we need to come up with a name for this event, the Magoroth Incident^TM) basically called me Town, or indicated he thought I was Town yet he claimed I was scum. whiteflame did this in my first game with him and he was scum
