I was typing to respond to you when the day phase got closed, but the reason I don't think Lie Detector is a major loss is honestly because historically the role kind of sucks. There was a period of time on DDO where the role was very commonly used. However is slowly got phased out. A straight up cop is much less of a head ache most of the time.

But you run into issues like: What statements can be lie detected, yes or no statements only or anything? Does a lie neccesarily mean scum? Town lie frequently to bait night kills, or if they have a strong role and don't want scum to know, or say if someone says they are a 1x doctor and you lie detect it, find out they are lying, but the reason they lied is because they were an every night doctor and didn't want mafia to night kill them because they want them to think it would be wasted, etc. Like there is just so many nuance situations with it. Then we had a meta where people would start every game saying "I win with the town" specifically for the lie detector role, but certain mods thought that was unfair and just didn't allow it because at that point you might as well just call it a cop. Idk the role has backfired a million times before for town, it just kind of blurs the lines. There might be an odd game or two I remember it actually catching scum, but I definitely don't remember ever being blown away by that role.

I have some light information, but I don't see any point to out it at this moment. It really just kind of town confirms someone who will be town confirmed anyway, so unless I see any information that gives me reason to oust this, I will keep it in the back pocket for now.

How convinced are we that that was an accidental hammer. It's unlikely for two scum to coordinate that but honestly I would do it as scum if I thought we could get away with it for WIFOM reasons

I am open to the idea, I wasn't super serious about that wryly town read. I can also see it just being legit an accident as either affiliation.

Also KOhais fault for being stubborn. Then again if you are going to be picked on that way I also think it's useful to take a stand and just refuse to claim as well. But only after a few games in a row, not the first game out the gate where you get tested that way

Yeah he probably should have claimed at l-2. Honestly not the worst thing that could have happened though, limited mafia POE a lot, usually we always fuck up and have half the players give up too much info dp1 just to mislynch anyway, then mafia just has a fuck ton of POE. We might have some results now. Sucks we lost inventor though.

If it is 2 scum with one TP and the TP sides with scum it could be problematic though

I think if you wanna fuck around with third parties as a mod, you need a bigger game than 9 people. Hopefully thoth is a reasonable mod.

I don't know who it is yet, but if they soft at any point or are good at hinting I can probably figure it out. I am not super worried about it atm. They will be town confirmed regardless.

Also a little bit of a wifom town read on Pie, we all know pie wouldn't have taken ten years to submit night actions.

I'd venture to say if pie is a character in this game, he's probably a compulsive visiting modifier or something like that, because thoth has made multiple references to Pie's impatience in the past lol.

Also I doubt pie would kill banana as scum unless he had some reason to think she was a power role. I really don't know why banana was killed. My guess is because she wasn't really part of the mislynch fiasco yesterday and maybe scum thought she would get too much town cred from her lack of participation in it? That or it's a noob scum team, or someone trying to make it look like a noob scum team.
