Mestari is a subject of focus. Im kinda pissed off about why tbh. I talked about this at length in my wolf chat as I spoke about my desire to eat your children and elderly but effectively nobody is stupid enough to OOG leak “What is a godfather” and a host not reroll. They are semi host confirmed town imo. Not happy about it but I will run with that advantage.

If you think Mikal would reroll the game because I leaked that I was godfather you are sadly mistaking. He would laugh at me in a pm and enthusiastically prepare popcorn. I'm not mod confirmed at all.

One last point, any non open setup presents structural problems when rerollong and this particular setup cannot be rerolled at all, so there's little point into trying to use my joke, when I explained was a reference to one of my past events of canon on DDO, to town confirm me. Alright, I'm caught up this morning.

Some basic thoughts for now since I've got to at least get some work done this morning:

I get the push on Thoth, though I'm a little wary of any TMI being used as an excuse for it, especially given that's Thoth's MO. The whole "fear kill target" on Mestari is a little strange. The fact that he's softing a character from the show and is mentioning that it could be the MC Sung Jin-woo is also a little off. At this point, he's confirmed that he likely has some kind of role, though no, I would not automatically push for said role just because he claimed a character. He also said this:

My character and role give me a strong sense that town are the good guys and scum are the bad guys. That's the straightforward part. I don't know which bad guys scum are or if there's reason to believe they are a specific set of bad guys or not.

As someone who does know this show pretty well, while there is some morally gray territory, you have to squint to see it. It would not be terribly hard to tell if a character is "good" in the sense that they haven't done anything remarkably bad. I won't get into the specifics of characters I think are likely to be scum or TPs in this game (it's a topic to revisit later when we've got more claims on the table), but it really shouldn't be hard to Google your character and determine that they're good or villainous. That's part of the reason I believe it's likely this is a simple theme split. That being said, the big problem here is that scum can claim themselves as their character. That's likely to confound any theme analysis, along with the fact that scum were given fake claims (which further reinforces this likely being a simple theme split). So much as I do appreciate the focus on theme that has come up between Luna and Thoth, I don't think it helps us at this stage.

The long and short of it with Thoth is that I'm sussing him a little, but I'd like to go back through his posts today before I start putting more pressure on him.

I haven't seen Max or Shining post at all so far. Hoping that changes soon.

Wylted's going off on tangents about how posts are written. It's pointless, but not unusual for Wylted regardless of alignment, and he's town confirmed anyway by virtue of being a Guild Leader. Not super fond of the fact that he hasn't revealed who he recruited after Luna did.

Nothing rubbed me the wrong way about Luna's behavior to begin with and his push on Thoth has made sense so far anyway. And again, he's town confirmed as a Guild Leader.

I've largely gotten where Mestari's coming from with his thoughts on tactics. It's not a strong town lean, but I think he'd be more inclined to pit the Guilds against one another, or at minimum let them figure it out rather than trying to bring them to an accord. That gives him a slight town lean.

Helz came in with a huge post that reads as pretty good behavioral analysis. First impression's good, but I'm less inclined to see the rejection of the Guild invite as a solid town read. There's both value and risks for joining a Guild as scum. Marginal town lean.

Much of the rest of my reads are just different flavors of null.

Vader posted three times and none of them have added anything. Banana has posted twice, given some limited thoughts and bounced.

Alyssa's been a bit more involved in providing reads and clarifying her thoughts on wagons. I get where Helz is coming from as she only called them out for not posting when there have been other inactives, but I can't say I've developed a read on her yet.

Wryly's largely been pretty light on thoughts about the DP so far. Fun contributions and some decent questions, but not a lot to go off of.

Rex has jumped around a bit on his reads, but I think he's likely town. I don't think scum Rex fails to note that he's been invited to the Guild by Luna for that long.

I'm going to do a deeper dive into Pie, Mharman, David and Casey's posts so far. All of them have contributed enough that I should have a stronger impression, but I just don't atm.

Ignoring all that bullshit and the horse it rode in on Kohai’s 153 stands out highlighting that ‘slip.’ We can unpack that without touching the angle shooting nonsense. Opportunistic intention tell gunning for the situation with a lot of framing organizational posts and few takes outside of this. Does not look great but in 276 they shift to Thoth which in context is not opportunistic and looks better.

I mean, others have already explained that Kohai is autistic and tends to take things very literally, struggling to pick up on hints that are very obvious to everyone else. I saw this in my own game, Deltarune Mafia, where he failed to pick up on an incredibly obvious hint that everyone else understood. Also he was drunk at the time. So I'm satisfied with that explanation and I'm not going to press it further.

Casey_Risk caught my attention. They hit on critical information control in 322 but they seem to take very ehh ‘acceptable’ positions to the point I question how many original positions they have. That in mind..

Yeah, that's fair. Like I said, I was tired last night and just trying to catch up before going to bed. Wasn't thinking super deep about the game, just sharing whatever thoughts came to mind. I'm still catching up from when I went to sleep last night, but I still feel like Thoth is a good focus for now, mainly because he's the only real lead I see atm. Everyone else except Luna and Wylted is pretty much null to me.

Yeah, this site's meta is definitely very eager to push people into claiming. That's why I use Anticlaim in the games I host.
