I'm not clear on what TMI is. Does it mean you said something you should not know if you are town, or does it mean you shared information that could help scum? Or both?

"Too much information" Basically saying stuff you shouldn't know. I think I used it loosely in the last thing I mentioned and used it as more of a "You are giving us too much information about what your scum play is and hoping we think you wouldn't do that as scum therefor you are town"..

Just a heads up I will not be entertaining a wryly vote, and I town read her.

Make them. Pick whoever to kill in the game but you are confirmed town and force them to follow your word. This removes Mafias decision and instead they have to pick between town choices.

I support this, though it wouldn't be fair for me to only support wylted doing it since he townreads me and Lunatic doesn't.

Forum signatures are bullshit. Nobody wants to waste their time and bandwidth reading something they have read 29,998,559,671,349 times before.

I said earlier that one of my abilities is potentially kinda-sorta-confirmable, or, if it isn't now, then it could be depending on how things play out. Let's say that I claimed information about your guild that I couldn't have known unless I knew it from an ability or shared scum chat with your recruit. If I did, do you trust your recruits enough that you would see this as confirming me, or would you suspect a mole? Just a yes/no question.

at this point u r probably gonna get lynched so if you have any information that u r holding that you think could help ur case its probably worth saying. ill probably end up voting you before 2 long otherwise i just wanted to give the other inactives a chance to post first.

Could a theoretical vig actually kill during NP1 tho? I'm gonna ask Mikal

Y would u assume otherwise?

So independent of me finishing myself off and all that as I try to look good for the town, you are one of my 3 hard town pegs. Who do you feel I should be looking at?

The guy who can redirect recruits to mafia teammates in order to activate abilities and who is tell you who is in a guild if and only if a mafia teammate is in the guild already.

So this game has a huge advantage for D1 in a single respect. That there is two confirmed town.

What if we get the entire player base on board with sheeping whatever vote one of the two of you decide? This would undercut any Mafia counter train from existing and as a strategy (right or wrong) would place the lynch in the hands of a town.

Do you to feel this is a good idea? Can we pressure players to follow through with this?

I'm not putting the outcome of the game in the hands of 2 players who are putting their own interests ahead of town.

Kohai has a vote on him already but Mestari also likes wryly, you seem to also and pie probably would come along so I guess we could start a counter wagon there, and I do feel as if Thoth is probably town though it's not a strong enough feeling for me to allow a no lynch if I am there to hammer

Huh? I don't even like the vague concept of "people"

Edit post

ISO #912 •••

Sorry for not consolidating posts, but I'm on mobile.

My position here is that if we get the town on board with sheeping you or Lunatic scums advantage is removed. They must pick between one of your choices and can not drive their own train. Also means they are forced onto one of two trains which can be looked at post flip.

I really, really don't like the push coming out of Helz here. We're asking to partially shift responsibility for deciding lynches to confirmed town, which inherently limits our ability to analyze those lynches. Follow the cop only works in small games where random coppings can be enough to get a win.

I think you are just rage baiting at this point, because this really makes 0 sense.

My second post in the game I said this:

"As far as Mestari's point here, I am going to try and fulfill my win con and be the biggest guild, however if at any point not being the biggest guild becomes an issue between finding scum, I will 100% be okay with not getting first place if it means beating scum."

I claimed guild leader immediately, if I was serving my own interest there is no reason to do this. You asked me to out my recruits and I did immediately. You voted thoth, I agreed with your reasoning and voted him right after. If you have beef with me or something just say it. I am literally damned if I do with you, damned if I don't. What the fuck did I do to you?

You are constantly whining about how the day phase has been going on to long and you want a lynch already. I haven't moved my vote once, and when I was arguing your case for you about thoth and literally trying to garner support for lynching thoth, you come back and tell everyone to ignore everything I said and dismiss it as spam. You can't tell me this shit isn't personal.

I think you don't know what I am doing and that it will be fun to discuss later when we can be more open.

Judging by this set up the discussion will not come before dp3 and potentially could have to wait until the endgame

Tbh the only reason I am really entertaining the idea of fulfilling the guild wincon thing is to humor mikal. He explicitly asked me to try and fulfill my wincon. Out of respect for him and the time he spent making the game, and also being my friend, I told him I would. But hunting mafia is truly all that matters to me. I told him I would do it, but that prioritizing scum will come first, and if at any point the guild thing impedes that, it becomes secondary to the main goal of hunting scum. So I am begrudgingly doing it, but you know idgaf about these type of things. If I am third party I will try to joint with town. I didn't even want to do the 3p joint win with pie and whiteflame in ruyi zhuan, I compromised by simply letting town hang themselves instead of trying to help scum get a mislynch. You can ask whiteflame i outright rejected him like 4 times when he asked, before I finally caved.

Catching up slowly this morning as I infuse myself with caffeine.

Thoth is still my strongest scumread. I get that Whiteflame says it's not likely to be a fake claim for being so obscure, but then we have to ask why he has something so obscure as town. I still hate the behavior there.

To be clear, I wouldn't say his claim is obscure. If anything, it's obvious. So if he is fake claiming, odds are low he just came up with the character himself and went for it. It's much more likely to be a fake claim given by Mikal. My bit of modpsych there is whether Mikal would give scum a fake claim that stands apart from the actual list of town roles so blatantly by not being a Hunter herself. I did also mention earlier that it would be very strange to give scum a role that doesn't allow them to be recruited, though that requires accepting that that is his role.

This thought had come to mind for me as well. Rare for us to get any mod-confirmed townies off the bat, much less two, so this would at least be a strong consideration for me. If they're united in their picks, I'd be down.

Edit post

ISO #924 •••

Alright, caught up. Going to expand my reads a bit from earlier.

Banana's read list looks good and thorough to me. She tends to be more active generally than she has been as scum as well, so I'm giving her a slight town lean.

I get the push on Wryly to some degree, though I don't see her as "breaking up other people's reads" in the way Wylted does. She's been null to me, and remains in that same boat atm. Wryly tends to ooze town behaviorally regardless of the game she's in and keep a light attitude, and that's what I'm seeing so far.

Really tempted to give Casey a townread since she's been so engaged and responsive, though I can't say I'm leaning in any direction with her so far. Part of that is her desire to just end the DP and take out an inactive. I get the latter to some degree (though there are actual scumreads in play from other players), but the former not so much. Even if none of the inactives post again, I think the notion of ending the DP early is just not great. It's a lot to read through and keep up with, I get it, and there may not be that much to add at this point for those of us who have been active, but I don't think we benefit from just moving on early.

Pie largely looks consistent behaviorally with his past games. His aggressiveness tends to shift up and down whether he's scum or town, and so far, this doesn't look distinct from either meta.

As for Kohai, that claim continues to rub me the wrong way. I get claiming under any amount of pressure, though that's something he'd do regardless of alignment - I do think he's just sensitive to pressure after his recent games. Claiming himself as his character doesn't give him any cover, either, given that that was in the OP. As for the role and justification, they just rub me the wrong way. I don't know if I can put my finger on the problem here, but it all comes off as slightly scummy. That's more of a gutread than anything else, but it's where I'm sitting with him currently.

Edit post

ISO #925 •••

Right now I feel like we are basically lynching blind. Wryly hasn't popped out in my mind as particularly scummy.

Shining

Lunatic

Wylted

Lean town

Mestari

I already touched on Mestari

I have terrible reads DP1 and having to parse through thousand posts isn't helping. I will disregard guilds as that just serves as a distraction for town.

The city of Seoul is overrun. Ants from Jeju Island have begun to spread beyond the gate, swarming into the mainland, attacking civilians, adapting, evolving. They can fly now. Something that was never seen before. This is no longer contained. This is no longer just an island. The S-Rank gate that has never been closed has already claimed too many lives, hunters, soldiers, entire raid teams. Now, the world is watching as Korea prepares for one final attempt. Guilds from across the country stand ready, joined by hunters from other nations, all coming together for what may be humanity’s last chance to stop the hive. Every hunter. Every citizen. Every nation. All of it comes down to this. And yet… the world looks toward one man, the one hunter who could change everything. But he refuses. He has no desire to join the raid. No desire to work with any guild. And when you hold that kind of power… why would you?

Alyssa feels like scum caught in a spotlight, desperately trying to disentangle and bus their scummate but having a very hard time of it due to the specific situation.

Still want to kill Thoth.

Remember back in the day when mods would write theme lore in their OPs and sometimes include hints in them? I think the this is one of those things. It’s basically talking about Jin Woo the MC. And I’m pretty sure it’s alluding to him being third party. Could be wrong maybe it is a mech due to a player role.

My preference is still to VTNL, but I'm also fine with lynching an inactive. The main reason I said I was pro-ending the day is just that I feel like progress has stalled to an extent. I'd agree that hearing more from Shining and Vader would be helpful, and Max of course, but like Pie said, at a certain point it begins to feel like pulling teeth. Though I'll concede that Banana did actually show up and post her reads, which was helpful. In the meantime, though, it feels like we're just waiting for the others to say something. But I guess we do have time, after all. If the town wants to wait, I suppose it's nbd. I just want to see some progress being made.
