I don't see mestari as being paired with thoth / alyssa. Whiteflame could be scum but has a decent claim. This leaves us with a banana / mag1c team which makes no sense. In a t!banana world

Already discussed. Mag1c was roleblocked last night. The going theory is Pie got redirected when he tried to jailkeep Banana again. If that's true, neither awesome or me could have been redirected.

DP3 went up at 6:49pm. The challenge from the ant king didn't come until 7:14pm. This leads me to conclude that the Ant King had some autonomy over when the challenge was issued.

That is to say, the Ant King is among players who were either active or at least available to present the challenge around when the DP went up

That does indeed suggest that there was a trigger point. Issue is that someone could've triggered it from the scum chat, so they may not have posted publicly before activating this.

But they're not gonna do that. They're gonna fear Pie's Jailkeeper stopping another NK more than they're gonna fear me hitting the one scum they didn't lawyer. It's likelier they redirected Pie (why onto Mag1c instead of whiteflame?), and since they know he's probably gonna jailkeep Banana again, that doesn't look great for Banana.

Redirecting the JK just seems odd generally, though I can understand pushing it to an unknown role vs. an outed one.

Odd in what way? Seems like a good way to divert a threat and hobble an enemy in one stroke.

Since it's been brought up now, I'll just give my thoughts on the possible REF / Awesome scum pairing.

Improbable as it is that both remaining scum would just so happen to be recruited to the same Guild, it is not beyond the realm of possibility, and since we know that scum have used a Lawyer or some similar manipulation of Wryly's result to make Alyssa look innocent, they would have had every opportunity to skew the result (assuming they still have at least one shot of it). I can't write off the possibility entirely.

I wonder how much influence REF had on the decision to recruit Awesome to the White Tiger Guild and whether that was done specifically to set up this scenario, though at this point I feel like I'm getting overly paranoid about what could be going on here. It seems like a lot of setup to get Wryly's result to look just so on REF and have it be believable, so it just seems odd that they'd feel the need to get Awesome in to assist with its believability.

Say the scum team is Banana and Kohai. They have a discussion about which of them Pie is gonna jailkeep this time, but it's a total tossup, could be either. So they can't just send the one less likely to be jailkept to do the NK and use their Redirector on me. They're forced to use it on Pie.

Why they didn't just redirect Pie onto me is another question. Probably guessed awesome was actually in the guild.
