Speaking of. One explanation for why “everyone is saying” that I’m active and therefore Town is that this was said in scum chat and scum are just kinda piggybacking off of each other. This would make at least two of the players, I believe Mag1c, Mikal, Rex scum.
I am unsure exactly how to read myself. In the game where Mag1c accidentally lynched Thoth on D1, I believe I had a somewhat similar playstyle in that I did not offer a lot of thoughts and was very reserved. So I am kinda hampered by this because I do not know “how” I’m supposed to be read. Are the people reading me as scum opportunistic, or are the peoppe townreading me TMIing/whiteknighting? Who knows.
I suspect Helz would know better since he knows me better than others here, but he also has to be town for that to count.

More than just activity, I think it really boils down to you forming a firm direction. I’ve found it pretty easy to tell when you are town after my first run in with you in ruyi zhuan where I was completely alien to your playstyle. Since then you seem to have stuck to certain behaviors as town that I am just not noticing yet this game. I’m all for change up in playstyle and not throwing as much shade around etc, but it still doesn’t help my problem of me feeling like town mago is generally a bit more invested and seems to be trying to solve people in general. Even if you aren’t switching votes like crazy, having no hard stances is quite a change from your town play style. I feel like you would be a bit more paranoid as town, and even your reads on magic Rex and Mikal seem largely echoed reads from other players like myself. I never really thought of you as the type that would band wagon, more of the type that would challenge anyone he scum read regardless of their status or prowess. Anyways I am interested to see how your gameplay progresses I am just a bit hesitant about you for now, but I recognize it’s early in the game so I won’t push this too heavily for now. And I am a bit locked in on Rex atm. If Rex does end up being scum I suppose you could earn a bit of town cred here.

This reminds me of my first game. When someone kept throwing shade and when I kept asking for specifics they just wanted to stay vague.
What I see is a player refusing to explain themselves and saying me asking them to is scummy.

I think that hard town reading anyone DP1 is usually not justified unless something very extreme happens or they are a bad player with a super obvious meta. When people do it, I usually see it as fake or just naivete. So, you shouldn't. But I think pushing a lynch based on this behavior is suspect. I don't think my behavior has been objectively scummy in any way. But I think it's the sort of behavior that scum would see as easier to mislynch.
