Yeah, I’m not going to give you solid reads I don’t have. Being non-committal and hedging is my MO in any game this early, so whether you like it or not, it’s my meta.

I think we should hold off on claims for a bit unless there is a solid reason for them. Maybe consider a mass flavor on D3 or something but I see WF as being one of the more towny players so far.

If I didn’t feel like mine was already very obvious, I wouldn’t have done it. I agree we should keep claims to a minimum, it’s the reason I didn’t even want Ultra to claim.

Yeah. Throwing a bit out here and there for softs to point to is great and all. And I do love the trolling. But I think we should be cautious about claims. Sniffing out the mafia is going to be more complicated with a confirmed 3p to deal with. They will be able to genuinely scum hunt because one exists in the game and the 3p itself adds all sorts of wild potentials into the situation

I think a tailor exists. I don't believe it's been used though.

Those rules and the nature of this setup imply to me that there might be a tailor. One example is that you put it in the rules so people don't complain that it's bastard. Plus I think it would be fun to let players use a tailor in this setup since they can be as ridiculous and racist as possible. Ironically the wolves could be so racist that they write somebody's actual claim on accident, thus alerting that player to the suit. From a pure game design perspective I can definitely see it being a fun addition.

But unless something very specific to what I just outlined happen, they usually aren't going to screw up the flow of the game as long as we're actually scum hunting. Which is why I'm about to go to war on the slanksters from slankcity.

I have never heard of a tailor being as POWERFUL as you guys say you have on this site. But if they are, yeah there probably is one. It'd be easier to play than actress and more interactive than janitor.

I want to pursue Helz, Thoth, or Wylted from that wagon. I townread read Mikal, and REF passed my reaction test albeit it being weak. Banana was town and I buy Ultra’s claim.

I'll revisit my reads from DP1 tomorrow, just got done posting the final round for a debate and I don't have the bandwidth to plunge into this as deeply as I'd like tonight.

I agree that we should be considering everyone on that lynch, particularly those who joined it with limited explanation. That's why Thoth and Wylted are chief among those I plan to look through tomorrow.

Can we please put votes on Helz and force him to full claim. He’s clearly coming from an informed perspective whether that be the TP statement or the one about scum choosing from a list.

For starters I truly do not see how Kohai could be town. I flatly do not believe it. Lets unpack their behavior

The slip-

Initially they say scum got to choose from 3 options for the fake mechanic

I call this out as a hard scum slip. Pie and someone else verify they had followed up and asked the host and were not given any info on an amount of things to pick from.

They react saying it was an RT; but at the same time they crash out hard and emotionally loosing their shit. This I immediately called bullshit on because if it was a reaction test their trap snapped shut and they should be happy that their plan succeeded and move onto the next part.

They later claim it was actually a lie. Well yeah, I figured that out immediately given their reaction to being called out. I figure they did not have a choice but to reveal that.

Then they say it was a hallucination. Im unsure what that's suppose to mean but they had claimed VT and this is the third time their story changes.

The Role-

This looks like it was custom written to address the concerns voiced during D1.

Really? This feels super targeted to the entire huge deal we were talking about over and over of if it was too vague of a request to the point its a little bit bastard followed by the questions of "Would Luna do a modkill right after how they felt about the modkills last game?

Then the wording of it just feels different than my card.

Then there was the evolution of the drunk stuff where at the end they were saying that they only needed to say a few words with what I find really suspicious. (Again their post 703 on D1)

Two be kleae Luna did state thattt it really only had to be une or two words. Ive beeen a bit tooo deeeo into my karacter.

Sooo.. What was there to interpret? Also that bit makes the role seem even more unreasonable and unfun. I could get a requirement to act a bit drunk but in literally every single post? Thats a holy shit level of fucked up. Would Lunatic even do something like that to a player?

We can dig into tailor or not but I am really struggling to see how Kohai could possibly have been town to the point I think its much more likely they were simply tailored.

Regarding the slip, yes it's baffling behavior as town, but also not beyond the realm of possibility for Kohai. We shouldn't treat it as impossible.

If they have a Tailor, I just question whether it would be using it to its fullest potential by just tailoring a dead scummate. Does that create maximum chaos for town? The only way I could see it happening is if Mech 3 is actually the lie and they really, really don't want us to see scum flips because there really is a theme. Even that is a little too much for me to believe on top of Lunatic letting scum influence EOD alignment reveals.

Regarding the modpsych that Luna wouldn't want another modkill role after he was modkilled, see whiteflame's DP1 #351. There's an equally plausible modpsych that he would want to put a drunkvoice role in after last game.
