Retro Mafia - DP1

This post is quite telling. If ILikePie was mafia he would know the answer to this question and wouldn't need to ask it publicly. If he were mafia then he might ask this question publicly as a fake dumbtell. I'll be keeping a close eye on pie throughout the day phase. 

I understand why you would have this thought, but pie literally asks this in every game, it would be suspicious if he didn't ask it here.

So… how does this square with your statements that you aren’t modern and are chess? I think you meant to say that your character was Frogger, since I’ve never heard of a Frogger role and you’ve already claimed Survivor. Was Frogger given to you as a fake claim?

Didn’t realize he’d done this. Good catch. I’m guessing Frogger is his actual claim, might be the Survivor, don’t know why he’s lying.

Both frogger and chess fit with survivor. Doesn’t really matter imo.

Personally if I were Mikal I wouldn’t mod kill (I’d be lenient in the noob) but this guy has no idea what he’s doing. I’d just get him out of the game and link to a guide on how to play, with the Wikipedia page for mafia in whatever his native language is.

I’ll VTL when Icon gets back to me on that.

I’ll also hold off on voting until Icon posts again. I want to give him a chance to provide clarification, and if we don’t get a clear claim and a reason why he seems to be pushing chess when it’s pretty clear that that is not his claim, then he’s my vote.

If he did delete a post, then yeah, he needs to stop doing that. I think a mod kill on a new player for that would be excessive, but if he needs to be replaced to address it, best to get that done sooner than later.

I hope this doesn't mess with whatever Pie is doing but I would NOT use my neighborizer on Icon. He's dead this DP.

Not really sure how chess fits with Survivor? Agreed that it makes sense with Frogger though and does seem to be his actual role. 

The problem is the earlier 16th century claim. No way that fits with Frogger.

He’s too big of an outlier, and his silence compounds the problem.

This is pretty incomprehensible. Why aren’t you clarifying your claim? Do you think having us sit with the obvious lies is going to help you somehow?

Anyway, please understand that you are getting lynched because survivor is considered an anti-town faction. You should have just lied and said you were town.

This is a social deduction game. You have the town, the uninformed majority. They tried to find and lynch the mafia hiding among them.

Then there’s the mafia. The hide among town, picking one off each night while trying to get them to turn on each other during the day. They win when they eliminate enough town members to control or stalwart the vote.

Survivor is a third party. You win if you are alive when either town or mafia wins the game. You have no real reason to help the town- most survivors wait until the mafia team is one phase away from winning, and then team with the mafia. Sometimes a survivor will team help town if the town is winning, but usually they sit back and wait for the mafia to get close to winning.

This means you being alive is counterproductive to town. That is why we are lynching you.

The mafia team tries to hide among the town. The town tries to vote out the mafia. Mafia members know who their teammates are, town members do not. Survivors are by themselves, trying to stay alive until the end of the game.

Yeah, I’m willing to lynch Icon at this point, but I want everyone to have as much of a chance as possible to recruit with their Masons. If you haven’t done so yet, no time like the present.
