Brief thoughts while I'm on my break.

It's rare for me to have an early townread on Ragney, (actually, I'm not sure I've ever had an early TR on him), but in this case I do. His confusion about the Mason abilities comes off as genuine, and I like his thought process regarding how we use our Mason invitations. 

Mharman is a scum lean for reasons I've already mentioned.

Regarding Anonymous… Idk what's going on there. Claiming something from the 16th century is baffling. I can't imagine that he'd be told to claim that by a partner, but I also can't believe it's an accurate description of his character, unless Mikal just decided to be really weird about what characters he decided to include in this game. I don't think that's the explanation, however. Which leads me to believe that he's either fakeclaiming and doing a really terrible job of it, or just really, really confused about what's going on here. Not sure which one I believe more tbh.

Eh, having played as many games with Pie as I have, I expect him to ask a question like that day 1. I don't think that's AI for him in particular.

I was going to say that it's weird that Wylted hasn't said anything yet, but I guess he's not in this one.

Okay so in an 11 player game, 9-2 is probably too town sided and 8-3 is probably too scum sided, so 8-2-1 makes sense here imo. In terms of PMs my plan will make it so much easier to scumhunt.

My reads so far:

Town:

Pie - Obvious
Ragnar - His initial posts seem genuine 

Casey - Probably the only one who has posted some real analysis so far in an otherwise low activity game so far

Mharman - I think the immediate accusation isn’t something Mharman would do as scum. He’s more calm and calculated based on COD Mafia. Also this is subtle but Mharman would know chess wasn’t created in the 16th century. The accusation doesn’t make much sense

Null:

Whiteflame - I can never read him, my read will prob depend on his claims

Luna - Just gave the soft claim idea but it’s NAI

Vader - Just soft claimed 

REF - Some fluff and soft claimed

Earth - I dislike the position of list idea. It’s very weak logic and the idea is scummy af because it weakens the plan I’m thinking about. But this is Earth, and he’s always just scummy

Scum:

Theist - I don’t like the potshot against me. It’s like trying to find something that’s not even there. It reads to me like a fake attempt at scum hunting.

Icon - The claim is outlandish and I agree with Mharman that it could signify a TP

What are your reads?

It’s funny you mention chess because I do know a few things. While chess has existed since the days it was called Chaturanga, the 15th-16th century are referred to as the birth of modern chess. Despite all the video games of today, chess is still being played- it survived.

Which is why I guessed what I guessed.

Anyway, I’m waiting to see what Pie’s idea is before I make a call there.

No real reads on Casey or RT yet. Or anyone, aside from what I’ve said about Icon.

I will say that I feel optimistic about Pie. That is, I’m likely gonna be townreading him in the future cause I do kinda expect his plan to show he’s town.

Anyway, I’ll reveal: I don’t scumread Rex. Literally just ragebait for reactions.

Rex didn’t react. Casey reacted in a way that would be scummy from anyone but Casey, and I wonder if RT was just go along with it.
