We have mago who is a completely empty spot who probably won't come back. Mikal isn't a vig, so hes not getting night killed. Mafia will 100% leave him alive to fuck us in a lylo situation, or he is mafia. IMO I think he's the perfect target. If people wanna actually play mafia this day phase I am happy to focus on anything else.

Other than the obvious (mistrusting Mikal's claim for both being an unlimited Vig and close to hard CC-ing Thoth's claim, and mistrusting Thoth for SOP-claiming late with a role that is an odd mix of PGO and Nexus, both of which would warrant an early claim), there's not much to say. There's too little behavior to read into and it wouldn't matter for much in DP1 anyway. Lynching an inactive at least has some benefit to town for driving activity in future DPs. I'm at least up for letting Mikal prove himself, even if that means he does so by shooting me. Thoth would be a possible alternate pick, but at least we know his claim.

mikals 139 basically confirms he was baiting. I would rather lynch mago over thoth. Chances are town has at least one neg utility role and no one else has really come forward being sus of it outside of for the obvious reasons, leads me to believe their might not be a miller or hated or something.

Like I said earlier, I think he makes sense as a lynch, we're just not going to get much information on anyone else from lynching him and there's not much to discuss when he's the default choice.

I apologize for my lack of contributions so far, rough few days.

Bananas and gentlemen, I propose Thoth. He begins by saying he guarantees Kohai based his role justification off Langan's Wikipedia article, "especially the first paragraph." After a bit he throws caution to the wind and full claims that he's a Paranoid Nexus -- 50/50 chance visitors are either killed or redirected. Passing over the fact that this role smells a little Thothy, he completely failed to SOP claim it out of the gate, and his justification for that is he was hoping to kill scum who visited him. This would be a pretty reckless and potentially costly approach to scumhunting, and I'm not convinced town!Thoth would like that math. If he was so persuaded that killing scum helps more than killing townies hurts, why full claim instead of trying to bait scum?

I point out that "the first paragraph" of the Wikipedia article says nothing about "guns and conspiracy theories". He amends himself and says oh well, it was the second paragraph, and also he never said Kohai didn't source the justification from other places as well. This imo doesn't really line up with the vibe of post #4, which seems to be saying that Kohai is lazy and grabbed the justification from the first, easiest source he could find.

I think he's either scum and concocted his fake claim after the day phase started, like Banana thinks, or he's fake claiming as town to reaction bait, which to be fair, he's done before.

i agree with wryly i think thoth is the best lynch today his whole claim was just wierd and the way he went about it, the not kniwin about the guy he picked, the way he made it seem like he was doin some gambit by not immediately outing then not understanding how his claim culd hurt town more than scum, etc etc. i jus think hes probably scum. was gonna give him a chance to do somethin to help me think hes town but he just kind of went awol after defendin himself and isnt really suggesting a better direction, i think hes scum and messed up with his claim and is trying to slurk in the shadows and hope our attention goes elsewhere.

Normally, you can make certain assumptions about how the roles in a game are balanced and how they interact with each other. Mikal’s claim is wildly unbalanced and a near-CC of mine. With Kohai, all bets are off.

For that reason, if I were a straight PGO, I probably would have fake-claimed something designed to bait Mafia visits. The reason I decided to SOP-claim after dwelling on it was the fear that my Nexus could give investigatives false results.

Part of my role PM is just a clipping from the first paragraph of Chris Langan’s Wikipedia article, in slightly different words. Part of it is based on his views that are described in the second paragraph. Maybe I could have spoken more precisely, but my point is that Kohai was clearly relying on the first search results when writing my role card.

I’m not going to talk about how much I hate apophasis, but I learned my lesson about flavorful yet overly complicated claims in Solo Leveling.
