Mafia Host — Day 4

Day 4 has begun.

There are 4 players alive. The base elimination threshold is 3. Configured role modifiers may change vote power or an individual player's threshold.

Ok, perfect time to reveal this.

I was not entirely truthful about my role. I do in fact cause votes to become anonymous, but I do not out scum when I die. Regardless of who kills me, votes become anonymous.

If you noticed, Pie only started going after me after I claimed, probably because he realised how unlikely the role was.

I breadcrumbed this right before my initial reveal, if you look up the posts just before, the capital letters spell out DIE TO AL. In retrospect I should’ve said “REVEAL TO ALL” and then it would be more obvious, but just so you know I came prepared.

Reason I’m saying this is, Pie ONLY pushed me because he knew I was full of shit. I almost slipped a few times when I called my role fake. He pushed me for the Town cred (cause he knew it wouldn’t out me OR his partner if I died), and it gave him an excuse to push me. I think this should be a pretty strong defense for me not to be scum.

So, I will not vote. One of you has to convince me they are Town and that the other is scum.

Welp, I’m not gonna blame yall if you want to hold me to the whole “Mikal or me” thing yesterday.

I really thought it was him.

And with Wylted dead Pie clearly picked someone I didn’t expect. So there was some mind games… the question is, did he pick Lunatic as a bus, or did he really go for mind games with Magoroth?

Are you understanding how mago thinks he is clear, or are you just as lost as I am?

I’m in this endgame both because I would be sussed and because Pie believes there’s a very real chance I overthink it and call it wrong.

… I don’t think I would’ve gotten anything useful anyway. Once they learn of my role, the obvious counterplay is to flood their own scum chat with useless, or worse, misleading messages.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they just spammed lol for like a thousand messages

I finally got an answer from Banana. I can receive the messages of dead scum. That NP2 result probably was written by Kohai. RIP.

I mean, it's all behavior. Pie clearly played some mindgames. He could've been distancing Magoroth... he also could've been having Lunatic bus him. It's so hard to call.

Seems like everyone is just kind of waiting for someone else to make the first move, make the first FOS, so they can play the decidor from a 1 v 1.. Doubt its going to be that simple.

Im going to throw some shit against the wall to see what sticks, start poking and prodding you guys for some content here because the game isn't going to go anywhere otherwise. This is going to be a pure wifom fest, so take my questions to you guys with a grain of salt, I am pretty torn right now so I don't actually scum read one of you more than the other, so my questions aren't meant to come across as "I am asking this because I think you are scummy", its just to get in your heads and see how you guys think about things to help me better decide if its town motivated or scum motivated.

In post 505 you seem to be questioning pie was recruit. However at the end of dp1 you seemed you were leaning towards the OG scum team being pie/kohai as can be seen in 373.

What changed between those two posts that made you think pie was not paired with kohai as the original scum team?

In post 642 you said you were fully cleared. What is this based on?

If so, why wouldn't be pie lie about watching you if you were scum together? Especially if he is scum, and already knows they didn't visit you, its a relatively safer bet isn't it? Only other roles they would have to gamble that around would be if you were randomly copped by thoth or mikal, but a watcher result with no visitor is hedging his bets either way, might as well do it on someone they know they didn't visit, especially if that person was previously town and pie thinks he can use his result for town cred.

Thats all I got for you for now, I'll read some more later, and get to some questions for mago too. Still reading through your guys ISO's.

Your overall activity (200) posts and the content in them seems very reminiscent of your town games, obviously you were at least town dp1, but I don't see a lot of drop off or deviance from your original posting style. If you are scum, you have blended in with your town posting style well.

There’s another possibility I hadn’t thought of.

I could see Pie recruiting Lunatic as a “fuck you” to him for outing him, I really could, a kind of ego trip or what not. And I distinctly remember Pie speaking completely differently with Lunatic than with Thoth, and Thoth flipped town.

I will be holding off on voting. I’ll reread D2 later. It’s possible I’m misremembering the interactions between Pie and others and I’m being unfair here.

So yeah, please don’t vote (or vote each other and save me the trouble of having to prove I’m Town)

We still have plenty of time, no rush. I would like to hear a bit more from magic also.

I ISO’d Magoroth but I have yet to compare to Lunatic’s iso

Also been grinding pokemon champions. 5 days left in the season and I’m at ~#12,000 globally. Top 10,000 is master ball 2; top 1,000 is MB1. I think I can get the former, the latter is tougher.

Never got to master ball, but I didn’t play champions. I’ve been playing Pokemon Revolution though, want to start getting into the PVP when I finish all four campaigns and start learning good strategies.
