What made you start debating and being a part of a debate community?
Really, I just got bored at work a few years ago and starting seeing if I could interact with other people instead of just watching stupid cat videos. I stumbled upon DART and enjoyed it because I learned so much from the mindsets of other people that don't think like me.
To the person below me: What idea did you truly believe in or live by when you were younger that you look back at today and realized how stupid you were?
I don't have discord, but I would chime in that since this site is supposed to be about people expressing their thoughts, then the idea of AI running the thought train should be restricted. If anything gets verified as AI, then that account should be banned for a certain amount of time. Unfortunately, nobody will have the ability to stop another account from being made from the AI bandit.

God doesn't have a right arm, but the Bible uses that term many times for his power and strength. Why wouldn't the phase walking to a fro be a metaphor for him traveling the Earth, but not as we humans do?

It seems you have some super revelation on this subject. Why don't you enlighten us all with your Biblical wisdom? OR are you just being a petulant child with your arguments trying your best to mix up words and phrases from an ancient language written many millennia ago just to try to justify your hatred of the Bible and God. Pointing out the obvious that nobody would be able to know and then throw it in the face of people trying to do good.
Why do you hate the bible/God so much? That is a better question. You seem to have such a vehement distaste for God and the Bible that you are willing to point out obvious "contradictions" in the Bible as absolute proof that God is stupid.
This doesn't explain why it had to be a blood sacrifice and you haven't explained why. Is all you have done here is made statement about what you believe.
there is nothing in the bible that states why a man had to be beaten half to death, nailed to a wooden cross and speared between the ribs. resulting in a mans agonising, torturous cruel death.
I really wish I could probe the mind of God and get him to answer why he designed the world and life in such a way. As for the way he died, there are a few prophesies of his agony, but why God decided that this was the best way to redeem mankind, beats me. Unless, you have some extra insight.

Amazing point here Stephen! I had always assumed that the serpent in the garden was more of a flying creature like the seraphim (flying serpent). Though I do not think that Satan has a bodily form and if he does, it can transcend dimensions (ask Ebuc to explain this). My theory has been that Satan utilized the body of the serpent to physically talk to Adam and Eve since snakes are not evil inherently. The name Satan means adversity or opponent, so I'm not so sure that he has a physical form or not, but rather like an idea or attitude embodied in a being since we are challenged but cannot see him. The idea of walking to and fro in Job, is allegorical or metaphorical to tell the story.
As for if Satan actually knew if Jesus was the son of God or not I would say that the IF was very much rhetorical.

They should ban Debby again. It keeps on making rather non-logical counter points that don't really correspond to the subject, but only rather vaguely. Then all the recent posts on the forums are covered by a bot and nobody really knows if a real post has been done. To me, it is what really turned me off to DART. I'm arguing with a computer and not real ideology coming from a human brain.
I've always wondered who went to medical school to be a proctologist? Were they the bottom (ahem, no pun intended) section of graduates that wouldn't be taken as surgeons?

Direct claims of Jesus identifying as God appear most explicitly in the last written Gospel, John, whereas earlier Gospels focus more on his human ministry and divine authority. John 1:1.
True to an extent. John himself who knew Jesus first hand and received the promise from God (The Holy Ghost) understood the role of Jesus Christ in the whole plan of God, BUT Jesus never said he was God. He was one with his father, if you seen him you have seen the father, etc, but a direct claim to be God did not happen. This is because "no flesh shall glory in His presence". 1 Cor 1:29 There was a constant shying away from any claims of God when it was brought to him. He DID claim, however, that he was the messiah.
Religion or the belief in a God, is inside all of us. The difference between an atheist and a religious person is that they refuse to believe in God, not that God doesn't exist. Atheists will find some way to prove their version of a higher intelligence's plan of creation, whether it be evolution or space aliens BUT no one will ever believe that we just popped out of nothing by ourselves.
I would say the problem with atheism is that there are no boundaries, no rules to govern by other than what they decide to make up on their own and with their own reasoning. Look at America today, who back then was created on a Judeo-Christian value set. It thrived and boomed. Now as evolution and atheism starts to crowd the population through the social engineering of public schools and higher education, we are dying and becoming more and more divided.
I will agree that Jesus Christ was not God in the sense that he was God the Son. The bible refers to the body as a "holy thing" that "shall be called the Son of God" in Luke 1:35. Jesus was a vehicle for the Spirit to dwell in and to use. How that union worked together is what I would refer to Paul's teaching as the "mystery of Godliness" 1 Tim 3:16.
Why did Jesus cry out to God on the cross if he himself was God? Jesus was still flesh and blood like all of us and had to obey all the laws that we do too. Such as praying to God for deliverance. Whenever Jesus was on the Earth, he never claimed to be God nor did he decide to take any divine credit. In fact, when a man came to him and called him "good master" he deflected the response and said "there is none good but God". Mark 10:18
So, why do Christians claim that Jesus is God? Most Christians believe in a false idea called the Trinity, which, as you said, came from the council of Nicaea. This was a false idea spurred by the pagan beliefs of the regions around them and incorporated by the pastors of the churches. Paul called it a time of ravenous wolves. (acts 20:29) This Trinitarian belief has ruined many of the minds of Christians and non-Christians alike by presenting God as three persons AND making the Son and the Father one and the same, which they are not. Jesus Christ will eventually be put aside after everything is done and over with. (1 Cor 15) BUT for now, he has been given all power (Matt 28:18) and that power is not referring to divinity, but rather to the authority of his name through salvation.
Why we believe:
The idea of God "incarnating" as a man is to pay the price of sin for mankind. Hebrews chapter 9 states that the blood of bulls and goats were not able to remove sin, but the death of a sinless man created an opening for the guilty to identify with the death of Jesus. SO, in order for us, mankind, to remove the sin from our lives we needed a perfect sacrifice to identify with.
Why it "HAD TO HAPPEN" is all in God's plan. I suppose God could have made a galactic proclamation of "all sins of people wanting pardon will be pardoned by the standing on their heads for 5 minutes!" I can only assume that this "becoming flesh" was to make it to where humankind can understand and resonate with His actions.
