Nah....If there is a universal super-intelligence it will have a whole lot more common sense than you give it credit for.
Ofc it won't. It would be the only of its own kind, barely anything common about it with us unless it(or he) was born of a womb as a human and later resurrected and showed himself transfigurated even, to 3 men at least.
The US is a definitively secular nation, founded on complete separation of the State and religion. The Left Wing of US realise this but don't realise that pure freedom requires as low tax and free access to guns as possible. The Right Wing of US don't realise that secular pure freedom means the LGBTQ+ and abortion agendas both end up in line with US's liberty-first ethos.
It is left-wing to be pro-life. You are backing poor babies being born at the inconvenience of the already-born. Go figure.
They could even begin to worship on earth based on the similarities of gods.
Easiest choice
Well, not a whole lot of sense in that last reply GG...A bit hurried perhaps.
"It" would more than likely be a race of super-intelligent beings, rather than an individual.
I would suggest that the acquisition development and application of advanced knowledge, demands a collective effort.
If correct, you need an original. And that original needs to have let us know its identity at some point unless it is a deceptive deity.

It seems you are discussing the philosophical or theological concept of an "original" entity or deity and the necessity for its self-revelation or "identity" to be known. This idea relates to several key themes across various belief systems and philosophical schools of thought.
Here are some ways to interpret this concept:
The Nature of Revelation
Many religions posit that a supreme being or "original" entity chooses to reveal itself to humanity.
Philosophical Arguments
Philosophers have explored how we might know the nature of a foundational reality or original cause (e.g., Aristotle's Unmoved Mover, Spinoza's Substance, or modern cosmology's Singularity).
The Problem of Deception
The idea of a "deceptive deity" has appeared in philosophical and literary works:
In summary, whether an "original" must reveal itself or can remain a "deceptive deity" is a central question in human attempts to understand existence, knowledge, and the ultimate source of reality.
Well, a "deity" is a hypothetical and can have any characteristics that the hypothesiser/s demand.
And some people would perhaps argue that the Christian deity is a tad deceptive, in so much as it is nowhere to be found other than in imagination of a thinking species....Same place as my hypothetical Universal Super-Intelligence.
Though I imagine that USI like humans, is an evolved thinking species rather than an infinite non-evolved extra-universal deity.
The statement "deity is not hypothetical"
reflects a perspective of faith or philosophical conviction, asserting that gods or divine beings exist as realities, not just concepts, often seen in religious traditions where deities are considered ultimate, active forces, while science views them as outside the testable, empirical realm. For believers, God is the ultimate reality, not a hypothetical idea, but this belief rests on faith, not scientific proof, as deities are often defined as being beyond human comprehension and physical verification, making them unfalsifiable as scientific hypotheses.
Yes, asserting that gods or divine beings exist as realities, is the promotion of a hypothesis which is therefore conceptual.
And any fantasy concept is rendered unfalsifiable by the very nature of the exercise...Same old, same old.
Nonetheless the burden of proof still lies with the creators and promoters of the fantasy concept.
Because I know for certain that there is currently no living Christian who can actually prove the existence of the Christian deity.
So prove it Debs and we can then change the subject.
Tell us why you picked your username
My parents always called me Ana Banana, so it just kind of stuck.
Did they determine your shape too?
Wow, after reading everybody's username, mine seems dully practical. Just my first name and then what state I live in.
Great thread though!!
Are there other members from Arizona?
I didn’t put a whole lot of thought into my username. My IRL name starts with an M so I added an adjective that started with M, which became my username for a lot of things. “Man” ended up replacing my IRL name in later iterations.
I still don’t know what to type!
UmbrellaCorp=Umbrella Corporation=A large company authorized to act as a single entity, involved in the manufacturing and sale of umbrellas.
Also happens to be a malicious multinational in the 'resident evil' franchise involved in the production of bioweapons, i guess.
I don’t think you are capable of producing bio weapons. But you must carry an umbrella around.
Bot
Looks like you are heading for a permanent brain freeze.

Well, 3 months late, but still.
I always dreamed of changing my last name if I ever got the time and money, but other things always just seemed to come up and it never happened. For personal reasons, I don't want my dad's last name, and I never married. In my youth I set my mind on changing my last name to Casting; in my adulthood, I just wanted a friendly, common-sounding last name for once, and wished it was Riley. Both my usernames here and on DART have been plays on those two.
It’s my WoW user name. I picked a random name that sounded Medievalish/Fantasy.
I’ve also used the names Ganelon, Oberon, Grayswandir and Benedict. They’re all taken from the Chronicles of Amber.
It's funny cuz I would peg you more as a Random or a Bleys
For most of my adult life my true passion has been Therapeutic Horseback Riding, formally called Hippotherapy, which uses horseback riding as therapy for a broad range of special needs, developmental disabilities, and illnesses, typically with children. I ran a therapeutic riding program for over 30 years, performed every role there is, from Program President to Mucking Stalls and Special Olympics Coach. What I loved most was always being in the ring working with the kids, I've worked as Certified Therapist, Leader, or Sidewalker, but the role I always loved most was performing the function that the Therapeutic Riding industry calls "Sidewalker". To me, it was a form of self-expression, I really do think of it as representing who I am.
I liked this post several months ago but it still is a great username backstory. Love it.
Currently taking care of my grandmother who is bedridden... her passion her whole life was horses, and there is a horse therapy program near us that I really long to take her to. Unfortunately it will probably never happen. Best I can do is fill her room with photos of the horses she used to own. Her favorite was a pinto she named Apache.
Download this album and play it for her, I think she will really appreciate it.

I wasnt thinking about that when I picked those names. Just picked the characters I liked the most
Why don’t you pick Gothic names?
gothic?
gothic?
yes, Gothic names, often inspired by literature, dark romance, and Victorian themes, are characterized by their moody, mysterious, and historically rich tones. Popular choices include Morticia, Wednesday, Raven, Lilith, Damien, and Onyx. These names evoke a hauntingly beautiful vibe, perfect for those seeking an elegant, shadowy aesthetic.
It reflects a part of my spiritual practice.
Only a part Poly.
How extensive is your spiritual practice?
I would suggest that one either has a predilection for assuming that internal electrochemical activity is more than simply internal system function, or no such predilection.
I subscribe to the latter, wherein internal electrochemical activity is what it is, even if occasionally it gives us goose-bumps.
Whereas my username Reflects my memories of 1960's and 70's British television drama...Internal process again.
