This is the fundamental problem USA has, its natives are themselves not the majority ethnicity that 'built' the culture or economy etc.

It's an empire. It's not really a nation. Therefore, US struggles very much to develop a sensible version of the far right, it is incapable of it as it can never resort to nativism as its baseline of who belongs most and must be prioritised ethnically.

The combined facts that US's primary race and thus ethnicities are not the natives and that its culture, religion and all of it was brought into it by immigrants that invaded and subjucated the others leads to a fundamental rift that its hardline conservatives even if not far-right struggle with. When digging into the history of what made America 'America' the rift is only made worse because many founding fathers were more so freemasons and deistic than Christian.

The US of America cannot develop a sensible basis on which its far right centres around, not in any way other than racism. This has become very obvious over time.

For sure, we can cherry pick points in time relative to human migration, and establish notions of nativism...And yes, some notions of nativism are older than others.

So the US was/is broadly speaking a European colony with a shorter history, never able to establish a native identity other than "white"...And of course pre-white US nativism was irredeemably colonised and absorbed.

Ahhhh...And but then there are all manner of browns and blacks and enforced or economic migrants, who procreate just as white-man does, whose US-ness is almost as brief as Paddy the Irishman's or Herman the Germans...Or should I say Trump the German.

And over here, for a long time we were a general mixture of mostly European whiteness, perhaps tinged with Mediterranean sun...Though latterly we too exposed ourselves to the vagaries and riches of the broader planet and it's colourful people.

So Britain is as Britain does and Britain has become what it is, and the restoration of a general whiteness thereof, is a pipe dream of tattooed boneheads and older regressives...Because "white" Britishness being largely apathetic, tends not want to get greatly involved.

I'm from America, and my father's fathers have been here since 1625, a mere 5 years following the Mayflower. Can't get much more legitimate "immigrant" than that.

I think we can agree that the order issued by Trump makes sense now. The order says that if one of the inmigrant parents is a threat for the US, the citizenship is refused. This order points to the US Nation Security.

I don't think they feel safer, I think it makes them feel more powerful, makes them feel the supremacy of the white race maybe, but Trump keeps his base afraid.

If Trump thought his base felt any safer, he'd create some more scary conspiracies for them, he controls them through fear.
