Alright I have a ton of information that I think is vital to share.

1. I was targeted with a night action

Kyubey targeted me asking me to enter in a contract. I had a feeling this was an alignment changing role. I was intreagued so I initally accepted the offer but then retracted it after reading up on it (though it wouldn't have mattered anyway as the contract ended up failing). It was mod confirmed to me that this was an alignment changing role. We are dealing with a cult or a recruiter.

Conclusion: We are dealing with a recruiter or a cult.

2. Full role and abilities

I'm hitomi, an emessary. I start the game with a few mod-confirmed information: (1) The only anti claim mechanic is if multiple people claimed their character on day 1. This is why I was so adamant about no one claiming or hinting to their role. Magic was outed and I got confirmation that this counts towards anti-claim. Mag1c thought the outing had to do with a secret ability which turned out to be correct. I had a secret ability that was told to me on n1: Anyone who voted for me on day 1 had a change to have their character revealed. This is why magic's character got revealed. I still believe he is town as he has been the most towny player all game. We are now safe to claim character

3. Final analysis

The person who targeted me with changing alignments most likely was a person strong town reading me or someone PR hunting. The person that matches this most is whiteflame. Here's why: Post # 212 whiteflame stated this: "I don't know what to make of what Kohai's getting at, but worth seeing what he's cooking next DP. Gave away that he has a PR, so that might make for some shenanigans."

I never really hinted to or gave away that I was a PR, but this line is telling that whiteflame has been PR hunting. Casey has been MIA and so I want to look elsewhere as this contract was before casey returned.

I don’t have a justification for my role, which I thought was weird. I asked the mod for clarification and he stated there was a reason but didn’t want to reveal it to me while.

Mikal is not the recruiter. I was targeted with the recruitment before Mikal subbed in.

I’m fairly confident Mikal is not Kyubey. The only way it would possibly work would be if there were two mafia members and the other one submitted it on his behalf.

I’m heading to sleep. Few thoughts before I go:

1) Mag1c is almost certainly originally town. The biggest question is if he’s still town as he would be a prime target.

2) Everyone is back to null for obvious reasons.

I’ll take this a step further. I also got targeted by Kyubey. I specifically asked Thoth whether accepting would change my affiliation, and he said that yes it would make me scum. I rejected that shit so fast lol

Issue is that I received the same offer. I think we need more information before making a decision. I’m comfortable getting claims from WF and Mikal now but let’s see if there are any results, especially considering that there was no night kill

So was I. Discussed this last DP with Mag1c. I figured it was a given that Kyuubey would recruit and, as I pointed out last DP, accepting his contract is what turns basically all of the leading girls' lives into a living hell, and my character especially has been through it as a result. Also, given I'm the only one with theme knowledge this game, I'm far more interested in solving this game, especially since I was proven right that Kyuubey is a given as scum. I declined the offer.

At least this makes sense of why you were so against character claiming last DP, but I don't understand why you're going ahead with the role claim, much less why Hitomi is the Emissary. I'm not terribly familiar with the role, but you have information on a town-aligned player, correct? Is that player Mag1c?

A) Based on what everyone's posted as well as my experience, it sounds like everyone was targeted, so the idea that I was somehow singling you out doesn't track.

B) You strongly suggested that you had a PR in post #187:

Fair. Once I reveal my actions this day phase will make sense.

It's not "PR hunting" to say that this statement or anything else you said regarding why we shouldn't character claim implied you had information, i.e. a PR. I wasn't even the only one to point out that you'd given information the rest of us didn't have.

Figure this is a given. Thoth started seeking a sub for Casey at 3:49 PM yesterday. I received the contract offer over 12 hours prior to that. I don't see a world in which there are two mafia members in an 8 player game with a recruitment mechanic to boot.

The focus for now should be on who was originally scum, so this is a concern I'd set aside for a later DP. The Madoka reveal already slotted him into town for me, and with the Kyuubey contract reveal, the only way he could be original scum is if Madoka was given to scum as a fake claim. Highly doubt that.

So I think we have a nice POE: Magic, Mikal, and Whiteflame.

I understand being in POE for original scum, but Mag1c and Mikal are both players we agree are the least likely to be original scum, and I don't see how anyone else isn't in POE but they are. I also don't get how you're confirming Vader at this point.

I understand being in POE for original scum, but Mag1c and Mikal are both players we agree are the least likely to be original scum, and I don't see how anyone else isn't in POE but they are. I also don't get how you're confirming Vader at this point.

It was mod confirmed that a hidden ability could have been used last night, but was not. This aligns with vader's claim.
