I'm totally confused why Vader is a candidate for OG scum?

That leaves Whiteflame and Vader. I already explained the issue with their roles. Let’s say Vader redirected the Doctor (Mharman1) to Whiteflame. What is the mod supposed to do? We know that the redirect counts as two visits according to the mod. Why deal with that headache? Vader’s justification is also rather weak compared to what’s been claimed so far.

Well that makes sense but turn the question around. What if a Redirector redirects the Doctor to an Ascetic. That’s a more ambiguous question especially if the Redirector visits 2 targets. Why would a mod want to deal with?

He did not confirm to me that custom roles are in this game in particular. So your reason for eliminating Rex from POE doesn't hold up.

So it sounds like your FOS on Vader really comes down to this Redirector and whether it's too much complication for Thoth. I feel like that's pretty open to argument. Balance and modding are where I'm weakest so I will grant that I don't have the best perspective on this, but Thoth has already put in a recruitment mechanic, hidden abilities, and a risen witch mechanic. Look how many roles he's willing to juggle. Is a Redirector + Doctor + Ascetic really too much sweat for him.

Honestly this is major scum points for pie.

I don't want to jump to that conclusion. They did have a discussion about it, one we did not witness, and it's quite possible that Pie came away from it with the interpretation there would be custom roles in Thoth's next game.

I think a Redirector + Ascetic is. Behaviorally Supa is also different. I also don’t see a reason for a Redirector in the game.

I was going back through my messages with Thoth and back in September he mentioned he was going for normal roles and may include a custom role.

Personally the more I think about it the more I realize a contract cop probably isn’t a custom role but just a custom modifier. The contract cult is far more likely to be customed than a contract cop. After all my emissary information also departs from the normal role.

Kohai's a definite one. I'm still reading back through the previous two DPs to decide between Rex and Vader for the second, but, gun to my head... Vader.

That's basically what I got from asking Thoth about it. If the redirect fails, the role it's trying to redirect goes through as normal.

It's more modpsych than anything, and while I get where he's coming from, I don't think it's a strong basis for sussing Vader. Thoth likes his complications.

My biggest problem with ref is that he has done literally nothing this game. I see what you mean with the issue of a corrupt cop but I’m not seeing that this game. His death tunnel on me feels townie and he’s been fairly consistent with how little he has posted. This post from him screams town:

 Christ are we seriously VTNLing two nights in a row? You do realize we have to kill scum eventually, right? We have literally no info to go off of, aside from behavior.
