So I'll be honest and say that I don't think Thoth being intentionally difficult is AI here, not for him specifically. He comes from playing in a different community with a different meta, and I believe he would be stubborn to teach the town a lesson he feels must be learned. The problem is that the potential TMI tell still exists, and he hasn't done any more to address it. I guess he probably doesn't have any more to say in his defense than what he's already said - fair enough, but it's not a good look regardless.
I want to hear from Shining and Max before we consider actually lynching him tho. No one should get through DP1 without saying anything.

Post 245 Thoth says that mestari and pie are fear kill targets. He has never played with mestari though and should have no reason to think that, implying that someone who knows mestari deeply from the old days of DDO told him that. Alyssa is very good friends with mestari and has a deep respect for mestari, but other than her and me no one here really ever played with him. Magic apparently played one with him, and airmax and Whiteflame were both technically on DDO as well but neither were really into the mafia scene and shouldn’t know about mestaris mafia legacy either. Therefor it seems a pretty safe assumption that he got the information about mestari being a fear kill from Alyssa who is his scum partner. When asked why he thought mestari was a good player he kind of fumbled worse by saying that he thought something helz said about being well researched on mafia theory was about mestari, but to me that justification seems even weirder than him just saying he made an assumption based on every one saying he is a vet or something.

Alright based on my 5 pages of skimming, I really don’t think Mestari is scum here. Just feels way too defensive about not claiming. Feel like if a new player was scum they would probably go with town and claim but make such an awful claim it doesn’t work. Unless they can magically stall the game but that’s not happening

Hmm, okay. Feels like a weird statement to make, though, considering we've played, like, two games together where I wasn't almost completely absent. Terraria and Retro Games. And you were scum in Terraria. The only game we've played together where you were town and I was active enough for you to potentially read me was Retro Games. Is one game really enough for you to conclude that you just can't read me?

I just remember I thought you were town in that game with the PMs and was wrong and then I thought you were scum in another game and was wrong, so I'm practicing restraint. I also remember in my first game with you I skimmed some old games and found your style very cryptic.
Okay back and mostly caught up (barring my half-asleep 5am post earlier).
Even though Helz hasn't shown back up to answer my questions, other's people's interpretations of what Helz said matched my initial interpretation so I might as well address it and if Helz wants to clarify more when he shows back up that's great.
Alyssa is a higher level of my paranoia on this subject. Everyone has posted but me? Interesting that I am on their mind while that’s not the case. Im going to hold off before saying more but I will vote here and eat some popcorn watching what others see on them.

Given that pretty much everyone has at least poked their head in enough to skim the DP (save Helz), I think we are pretty much treating Luna and Wylted as town confirmed at this point given the lack of CC (scum would be suicidal to CC them anyway).
Ignoring the generalizing of "pretty much everyone" here, I signal out Helz because he's the one person who's largely an unknown. Whether on DDO, DART, or here, I've either played with everyone in the lobby or can go read their games on here to figure out how they play. Sure, Airmax/Whiteflame/Vader/I think Casey as well? had also not posted by the time I made this post. Couldn't care less about them to be completely frank. I want to see stuff from the one person who I have zero information on. So I called him out. It worked and created engagement.
But barring that explanation, pressuring me here is weird and it's where my confusion really comes from. In what world is anything I said AI in either direction? It's not like the stated reason for pressure had anything to do with the rest of the suspicion that was being thrown around regarding me (more on that in a sec). It's just completely out of thin air, slap a vote on it and let it ride. Which is why I wanted clarification on the vote.
Regarding the actual sus being thrown at me, there's a pretty clear person that's being left off the list of people who's familiar with Mestari on a mafia level and a personal level that matches me (which I hinted at in #386, though I didn't spell it out to not provide Thoth with a get-out-of-jail-free card in case he is scum). Mikal (i.e. the person hosting this game) is just as familiar with Mestari as I am, both on a mafia level and a personal level (arguable as to who knows Mestari better per se, but it's a hair that's not worth splitting for this context). All it'd take is one question in Thoth's role pm of "Hey who's this Mestari guy who's blowing up the discord with sex jokes" for some level of understanding to be imparted. So sure, if Thoth flips scum then I could be scum by association, but there are other explanations to this.
Still happy with where my post is at. Re-reading the Thoth/Luna interaction over the night didn't give me any reason to think that pressure here is being misplaced, though I want to see more from people who haven't posted before I say let's hammer and go to N1.
I'll also do some soft claiming to help appease suspicion on me. I can do things outside of being recruited, and there's a part of my role PM that's confirmable.

Mestari's not someone who does anything quietly, and given the, ahem, interesting conversation we had in the public discord the night before, I think it's fair to think that someone who wasn't familiar with Mestari would ask the guy running the game if they knew who they just let in.

I mean, Thoth has had ample time to adjust to the culture here. Mestari certainly didn't say anything crazier than anything Wylted says in any game. So I'm not sure he'd feel the need to do that.

Thoth has already said he gathered his belief that I'm a fearkill target from a pre game misunderstanding. Whether that's bullshit or not is up to each person to decide, but he's not going to come back at this point and say the mod told him I'm a good person to kill at night. That's not something that happened.

Anyway, I don't really get the Mestari wagon. We had like 2 wagons recently that blew up in town's faces just because a townie was obstinate. I slightly town Mestari. I don't remember how he plays, but I have a good gut read on him and we can always revisit him later. Lunatic and Wylted are hard town. Still not done reading
