Solo Leveling Mafia - DP1

I have two. Pie, per the list I gave earlier, for the stated reason.

But recently I've been thinking about this read I had on Helz:

Helz, I agree Mestari is town but his case for it was bad, felt forced. It's weird to me that he wouldn't consider Mestari joking, and instead echoes Kohai's misinterpretation. He's also claimed having a role which I think is mad if he actually has one. Wa also quick to give his character. The lack of concern in both cases is scummy to me. Had some 3p theory which has merit but combined with said lack of concern makes me wonder about projecting 3p. Could be 3p blending in on scumhunting or scum looking for 3p, I can see either.

With the recent mod announcement, I do wonder about this. Yes Helz turned down an invite, but the wording of the announcement, with the character that was hinted at (per Lunatic and Whilteflame), I do think we're dealing with a third party that can join a guild of their own accord at any time, and they just recently decided not to townside. Makes me think the TP is someone who isn't so confident in a Thoth lynch and that matches up with a recent remark Helz made too.

I am not advocating for them to be the target but I will say I am not opposed to Thoth. My main issue with eliminating them is their absurd honesty. I see them claiming a guild spy who redirects recruitment attempts and has some 3rd function on top of that passive. Ok.. That sounds wild.

I do actually prefer they/them, though most people here use she/her for me. I don't really make a big deal of it either way. But if you ask me what my pronouns are, I'm going to say they/them.

Good reads post overall. You make good points regarding Alyssa, I have to admit. I find myself agreeing with you in that it's difficult to find the scum motivations behind her actions (I don't buy that she's partnered with Thoth, unlike Rex), but her behavior still feels off somehow. All I can think of is that maybe she's a Lost Mafia like Vader in Retro Games? Just a thought.

I have yet to play a game with a Lost Wolf and it's definitely not something I tend to account for. I feel like even in the case of a Lost Wolf it doesn't make sense though. She wouldn't have been able to tell him about Mestari if they weren't sharing scumchat.

Right now it's looking like Thoth is going to be the lynch today. I'm okay with that, but I'd like to ask everyone here a question. If you had to vote for someone else, who would your choice be, and why?

I would be open to literally anyone outside my town pile. A shot in the dark is better than not shooting at all.

Can you expand on what makes you think lynching Thoth is lynching blind?

I just feel like half the time we lynch people for basically retarded reasons, and like 1/4 of the other time we lynch for reasons that boil down to "uh, DP is ending soon and I guess x is kinda scummy so YOLO???" if you want Thoth dead, fine. Whatever, but I can't really get a good read on anyone that isn't mech cleared or Mestari right now.

In a game with this many players it's hard to grill everyone who needs grilling in just two days, or to even get all the players to post a decent amount of content for examination. I want all the time I can to put every single fucking slide under the microscope and I don't care about the post total or reread tedium it creates. I don't care, I say!

Maybe we wait for Max to appear or get replaced, but what's the point of dragging this DP out all the way to Sunday?

With very little from Banana, Vader, Shining, with nothing more from Kohai or Thoth when both are under the crosshairs, and with nothing at all from Max, I'm baffled you guys don't want more time. What do we have to gain from cutting our time short? We're just giving mafia an early out from the police lineup.
