Revisiting old reads + new reads

Townreading Mestari for various things I find towny, even if I ignore the thing he told me not to townread him for (feels a little egotistical tbh- "you don't know what I can pull as scum!" and yet every time I've seen someone give that line they're town- like town is just more likely to express that kind of ego). The frustration with Lunatic outing himself. Noting Thoth's likely slip. Asking people for input/activity. I think the first and last ones can be faked, but combined, they look better. I also hate the wagon on him at the start. You can't tell me mafia wasn't trying for an early opportunity/being opportunistic about one. Just too random of a wagon

This read still holds up. He's given me no reason to go back on this this DP, plus he got Thoth. I did consider the idea of a bus, but he'd be hard bussing Thoth, and most likely Alyssa, over a slip that could've easily been missed had he not pointed it out. It's just a stupid play DP1. It defies all scum incentives. Pretty much lock town.

Townreading Rex for his failure to see that he was invited by one of the faction leaders, so he's obviously not paying attention to his discord. Beyond that there's not much else.

This is wrong. Per #331 DP1, Rex only saw Lunatic's invite while he read his role PM. This townread of him assumes he had read it before entering the thread.

So I reread. Nothing from DP1 swayed me either way. He wasn't the first to be on Thoth or Alyssa, that goes to Mestari. One thing I do notice from this DP is how he focuses on finding other townies, like his thoughts on Shining. It's good to do in a situation where one scum is down and the next lynch is 99% scum. Closes the POE even further. Slight town.

Whiteflame was the one who pointed out that Rex could be town for not noticing his invite. It's a good point on Rex but it doesn't really clear Whiteflame. He can buddy with Rex, but atm there's no evidence of it. He does have a lot of good posts. The refutation of Thoth's strategy idea to not recruit was good, and his post against softing. Combine this with how he wants to stave off the VTNL discussion for later and he's someone who picks his battles based on what he thinks is the most efficient use of his time. And I do think not wanting to waste time is pretty townie. Whiteflame is really good at faking his town behavior when he's scum, but this is so far a good sign. Slight town.

Side eyeing #164 DP1 just a little bit more in retrospect. The conflict with Thoth; I can see a point to the distancing idea. Moreso because of how hard Thoth was pushing on Whiteflame anything Whiteflame did. Back to null tbh.

For Alyssa it comes down to 1. Thoth's affiliation. 2. Establishing high confidence in Alyssa being the no.1 teammate suspect if Thoth is scum. There's a chance Thoth made his Helz/Mestari confusion and is scum anyway which would negate the argument against Alyssa. However, if Thoth is scum and the story is a cover-up, I agree with Alyssa's defense about Thoth just having to ask Mikal who Mestari is. There are other names Lunatic listed but idt they're likely under the assumption he made in his exploration of other possibilities. There is a TMI argument, though: Alyssa's defense, while being a rebuttal to the common argument against her, assumes Thoth's defense is a lie. But it still just comes down to solving Thoth first.

Helz, I agree Mestari is town but his case for it was bad, felt forced. It's weird to me that he wouldn't consider Mestari joking, and instead echoes Kohai's misinterpretation. He's also claimed having a role which I think is mad if he actually has one. Wa also quick to give his character. The lack of concern in both cases is scummy to me. Had some 3p theory which has merit but combined with said lack of concern makes me wonder about projecting 3p. Could be 3p blending in on scumhunting or scum looking for 3p, I can see either.

Nothing changed for either of these, except Alyssa is even scummier now.

Pie, I don't like the logic on the Mestari wagon. Pie is aggro but his logic for stuff is worse when he's scum. Really just that.

Who was it that made the point that pie wouldn't let Thoth's fake claim slide? Idr. Although in my experience (ranger's apprentice mafia), Thoth will just do his own thing and not really listen to teammates. Stays the same, however, see next read.

Given how Pie has had a few good disagreements with a lot of different people, I am starting to feel better about him (null), given...

Kohai, did seem opportunistic in joining that Mestari wagon. I don't really hold Kohai missing Mestari's joke against him anymore. I thought about it but if anyone misses a joke it would be him, and he was tipsy.

The more and more I see Kohai and Pie interact, the more I think Kohai would be great as an information lynch. I just don't think there's distancing going on, especially with mafia looking to be in dire straits. Also good for reading Shining. The read as a whole remains unchanged, except that claiming the Thoth wagon is crazy.

Alr I finished looking at Casey. Nothing major seems scummy but nothing that screams town. I don't recall a scum Casey game where she wasn't making posts that immediately weirded me out. So the lack of anything that bothers me is a good sign. Slight town.

Casey's been trending down for me. The thoughts on Mestari and Vader are just strange. Idk why you need more from Mestari at this point and I don't know how you miss the obvious town that is Vader. Slight scum.

Don't care much for the defense of Alyssa, but the way she responded was pretty good. I do like #453 from her. Slight town.

Shining I've gave my thoughts. I will admit however that he would be a bad counterwagon to Thoth; thing is, that wagon felt more organic.Not having thoughts on thoth still sucks. I still have him as scum, although this is the one I could be wrong on the easiest. Still, he just doesn't give us a whole lot to go off of himself so I'd prefer y'all just get his claim.

Wryly is hard to read because of how much nonsense she's posted. I typed and retyped multiple paragraphs several times as I kept changing my mind while typing this. Gun to head, if I'm not super confident she's scum she probably isn't- I think as scum she would screw up to such a degree it would be obvious. No offense. Slight town.

Awesome is lean scum. Just the constant defense of Alyssa. His intro was bad too- just a bad modpsych argument. I thought about if he's too scummy to be scum but that latter just doesn't really fit that. It's more casually scum than something scum would avoid saying.

I think Kohai is scummier than Pie and Shining. I have to be wrong on two people and the latter two are most likely.

Thinking about team theories, probably Thoth/Alyssa/Kohai/Awesome. Helz TP. I find it interesting he had nothing to say to me.

As far as recruitment goes I'll expand. There needs to be a healer for me to be worth it. I think it's a reasonable guess, but I understand not going for me.

I believe Alyssa's ability shifted their required Vote threshold to 10 and not 9. They are at L1 now unless I am misunderstanding their mechanic. I felt Host even clarified that in a post.

I do feel that the early hammer was an awful move. Will have to chew on if its scummy or not.

I also slightly feel at this point Mag1cian is making an active effort to paint me. Framing my statements in a performative way speaking as if they are talking to me while actually speaking to the town to frame me in a specific manner.

If they were actually looking to engauge with me it would not be a "I have given my reasons" and blowing off my response after acting like I did not even respond. I will have to question if this is AI or ego driven play.

Im just gona say I am not happy if this hammer goes though. Could not have been more clear that town needed to wake the fuck up and hunt today.

Think about this potential- What if Thoth is Tailord, Alyssa flips town, Poison goes through on a town. Then we have a Mafia NK + another poisoning.
