The problem is I need anything to indicate you are town. You aren't giving me that. So when your default reaction is to tunnel vanilla claims every game on day phase one and consistently double down on the logic, all I have to go on is that you would also do this as scum. Give me something more to work with if you want me to consider you as town.

I can buy a second vanilla somewhere in this game. The question is if that’s a fake claim from Thoth or not.

Pie made a point that Thoth could have claimed Himmel as a fake character claim, and vanilla on his own. I will add that vanilla and Himmel could both be fake claims, if we believe Himmel really shouldn’t be a PR (although I’m not confident in saying that). If vanilla is a fake claim, I can imagine the scum team eventually getting Whiteflame to say that vanillas do not receive justification for being vanilla.

Mikal believes Thoth when he says there’s no justification for being vanilla, just that his PM has general info about his character. I do trust Mikal is town and his opinion means a lot to me here.

Behaviorally, Thoth has seemed off with things like being conscious about his discord activity, and the softing to try and suggest softing to others (possible PR fishing/helping teammate use claim).

His response to #77 was not that good, but just because a defense was poorly argued does not make him scum.

Meanwhile, he has not tried to shift the wagon to anyone else, unlike Solo Leveling Mafia. The counter to this is that he subbed out last game (Amber Mafia).

So now the question is, given what happened in the previous two games, just scum Thoth try to shift the wagon into someone else, or try to shift the wagon onto himself?

I’m not lynching cause he’s Vanilla. I’m lynching because he was defensive, and even if he’s town, it doesn’t provide scum more POE and they’re likely to be fucked in terms of night actions tonight. Oh it also makes future Vanilla claims sus.

I was starting to think I had misread Thoth but Pie has a few good points, plus vanilla could be a fake claim. The thing is nailing a prediction on Thoth.

If we stick to Thoth, we’re saying we want clarity and information. If we CFD to someone else, we’re saying Thoth is far too likely to be town and someone else is scummier.

My top candidate for a CFD is Rex. He has clearly been in an around in the DP, but did absolutely nothing for two days, then throws a sus on Thoth (the no vote can actually be excused as not wanting to put Thoth at L-1), and that’s it.

Tbh, as I’m thinking I’m leaning that scum Thoth wouldn’t try to shift the wagon. Subbing out helped Casey in that game, and trying to shift the wagon in Solo Leveling resulted in a townread of the person he tried to get lynched, and other things people tried to read from his last few posts.

But I do want to trust Mikal. There’s other ways of getting info on Thoth. We can figure him out later.

i think the bottom line here is with everything scummy about Thoth, Rex doing nothing all DP just to jump on him at the end is more objectively scummy, than the picture of Thoth as a whole, which has many branching arguments.

I really dislike everything about this game. When thoth was the target. Everyone was silent and allowing it to happen. When we pulled back there is load of activity. It really looks like people were allowing the thoth train to go off the track and are now scrambling to lynch someone inactive because they cant defend themselves.

I think a better focus is pie or magic.

If thoth is town it def is likely one scum is between pie and magic. Going for an inactive and just Yolo shooting is not the plan imo

I want magic to claim. If I can't get magic go claim. Ill join luna on pie.

And what’s the theory for either of us being scum? You haven’t explained that yet? Is it the same reason Luna had for me? Cause I already explained why that’s NAI.

On a side note, why do you town read Thoth exactly?

I don’t think Rex is towny at all. In a vacuum his posts on Thoth aren’t bad, is the fact that it’s all he’s done this game, despite checking in and out of the thread multiple times previously.

If this is your idea then it makes zero sense to give scum potentially more POE by getting either me or Mag1c to claim from your POV

Mago is always far more active and analyzing as town than he is scum, by a long shot. He’s more of a lurker as scum.
